Jesus went about teaching and preaching about the kingdom of heaven. There will never be a better teacher for man than Jesus, the Son of God. We should regularly seek to “sit at his feet” and learn from Him!
? What is truth? __________________________________ (John 17:17)
? What do we have if we walk with Jesus? ____________________________ (John 8:12)
? What defiles a person? _____________________________________ (Mark 7:20-23)
Jesus is so serious about sin he gives us some very needed illustrations:
If we cause a little one to sin, it would be better for us if we had a _____________ hung around our ________ and then _______________ into the ________ ! (Mark 9:42)
? If our hand causes us to sin we are told to ______ ____ _______ ! Mark 9:43)
? If our foot causes us to sin we are told to ________ ____ _________ ! (Mark 9:45)
? If our eye causes us to sin we are told to _______ ____ _______! (Mark 9:47)
Lord help us to have the same mind as Christ. Let us desire Heaven so fervently that we will be willing to do whatever it takes to get sin out of our lives!!
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17
Closing Thought:

1 Peter 1:3-9 is just one of so many places to read of the substance of our hope and the power we find in it!
What are some things I could share with others about my “living hope”?
the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

And Keep the Unity of the Faith
Source Text: Ephesians 4:1-3
When Paul proclaimed he was the, “prisoner” of the Lord, considering the root word he used [de?] what’s he declaring? ____________________________________________________________________________
All Christians are prisoners “bound” to live, talk, act, and worship according to the will of the ______
According to Paul’s reference of himself in Galatians 2:20, he said, “…it is not longer I who live…”.
Who lives in Paul? _____________ How does Paul live? _____ ________.
What is the concept or idea Paul is making? ____________________________________________________
Walking Humbly is defined by three words:
1. ________________ which means: ________________________________________
2. ________________ which means: ________________________________________
3. ________________ which means: ________________________________________
(Circle One)
Is holding to “right Doctrine” all that matters? Yes No
What happens if we live the right doctrine, but are not “bearing one another in love”? We miss ____ _____.
Paul commanded, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (v.3). What does the word, “endeavoring” mean? ______________________________________________________________________
Food for Thought: - (Consider 2 points) -
First: We do not have unity if it cannot be seen. Unity is not a concept, it is something that can be seen by others in our behavior. Think, when there is a lack of unity in a marriage—everyone close to the couple knows. If we have unity in Christ, then it will be evident and the bond, the glue, is the peace we have with one another (Matt. 5:14; Eph. 5:8; 1 Peter 5:14), as Paul wrote, “in the bond of peace”. Peace is the bond that holds all churches together. When we have unity—we will see peace in our relationships and behaviors.
Second: We do not have unity unless we have participation and involvement. How many refuse to participate in Sunday morning Bible study, Sunday evening worship? How many refuse to participate in the Wednesday night Bible study? Strange—because the very root of unity is—a great gift from God—the assembly. In fact, the very purpose of our Bible studies is to facilitate unity.
