Every third Monday of January, the United States celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This holiday was established to recognize and honor the civil rights leader and his many accomplishments, as well as to reflect on how far we have come in terms of race relations and civil rights since his death in 1968.

Probable Cause Affidavits in Indiana: What You Need to Know If you've been charged with a crime in Indiana, you may have come across the term "probable cause affidavit." But what is a probable cause affidavit? In this blog post, we'll explain what a probable cause affidavit is and how it can impact your case. In Indiana, a probable cause affidavit is a document that is filed by the state to provide notice to the court of the charges against you.
The affidavit must be based on sworn testimony or an oath, and it must set forth the facts that establish probable cause for your arrest. If the state files a probable cause affidavit in your case, it does not mean that you have been convicted of a crime. Rather, it means that the state has presented evidence to the court that suggests that you have committed a crime. The court will then decide whether there is enough evidence to proceed with your case.
If you have been charged with a crime in Indiana, it is important to speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney who can review the probable cause affidavit and help you understand your options. Conclusion: A probable cause affidavit is a document that is filed by the state to provide notice to the court of the charges against you. If the state files a probable cause affidavit in your case, it does not mean that you have been convicted of a crime. Speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney if you have been charged with a crime in Indiana.

Parents of volleyball players from Pike High School are upset, angry, and disappointed by what they perceive to be racist taunting gestures made by an opponent during a match on Saturday.
In the two days following the game versus New Palestine, a number of Pike parents voiced their disgust with the situation on social media and in interviews. Kendra Champion-McAloon, the athletic director at Pike, stated on Monday that she had a meeting with Troy Inman, the school's principal, to go through the findings of an internal inquiry.

In This IssueDomestic Battery, Hiring, Juneteenth, and Independence Day!
Legal StuffThis issue has an article about what is domestic battery. In the last issue, we had an article about abortion. Now the United States Supreme Court has taken away a woman's constitutional right to medical privacy. Not much to say about that other than I totally disagree with that decision.
HiringWe are still growing and urgently hiring paralegals, a case manager, and an intake specialist. If you know someone that is interested, please ask them to apply by visiting clicking here.
