Today’s guest is Tom, a mechanical engineer from Chicago. We talk about the challenges we faced in becoming more socially savvy as young adults, and the challenges we face now in dating and meeting our spouses as American Christians. As Christians we say we want a spouse who loves Jesus, but let’s face it, we also want romantic and sexual tension as well. How do we reconcile these two desires? Exactly how important should physical looks and sexual attraction be? And why is it so hard to meet your spouse in church? Have churches erred in their guidance with dating? Has our community gotten stuck with incorrect patterns of thinking? How do we get out? And what does it mean to surrender dating to God? We also talk about the basics—how to build confidence, how to build a better profile, how to get more matches, do nice guys finish last, and more. If nothing else, we hope to show that men are capable of being fully open, and it’s totally okay. I hope you enjoy this one. Recorded October 17, 2020.
