This is a case where a client is injured, she's in a car crash, she's gone to doctors and gotten multiple treatments. We were in a depo and we had put her through a very rigorous deposition prep, and we had asked her repeatedly, had you ever been injured before? And she said, no. She never filed a lawsuit before, never filed an injury claim and never been injured before🤕 Back then, there was no way to really verify this, that wasn't a very effective way. So we took her at her word in the middle of a deposition. The defense attorney did something that is not very typical. He says, ma'am, have you ever filed an injury claim before? She answered no. So you've never filed a car crash claim? No. You've never in any state, ever filed an injury claim? No. So you've never filed a lawsuit before? No. So once he's done with his line of questioning, he leans over and picks up a stack of papers out of his briefcase and starts to, well, what about this one?🫢 Two years ago you filed an injury claim and you claimed this. And then he just had a stack and went through it, and I just couldn't believe it. And so what was really interesting about that case is that it was really damaging, but within a few weeks of that case, we still were able to resolve the case and get her a settlement✍️ Like, share and follow me for more 👉@lawyertyson #injured #carcrash #lawsuit #injuryclaim #carcrashclaim #case #settlement
