Today we'll be examining Acts 2:42-47. In these five verses, the Apostle Luke provides us an up close and personal image of the early Church, showing us what the early believers were all about.

Those who are lost want to find their way home.  Those who are captive long to be rescued.  We have so much for which to be thankful, because we have Jesus, the Messiah, who has come to save what has been lost and redeem those who are held captive. Today, let us allow the Good News shared by Peter to permeate our hearts and compel us to tell others about Jesus.

We’ve all seen those infomercials that promise extreme weight loss and rock hard abs in 90 days or less. We sit and watch skeptically, until we see the before and after photos of “real” customers. Their testimony makes it seem so attainable. The before and after image is just too powerful! We pick up the phone and place our order. (Well maybe not you, but someone you know.)

Advertisers know that the images of amazing transformations stir something deep within us- the desire to be radically changed for the better. Today, we will take a before and after look at the early followers of Christ and see how we, like they, can experience the greatest before and after transformation anyone has ever seen!

This morning we’ll be continuing our journey through the Book of Acts, stopping at Acts 2:14-21 and taking a closer look at what the Apostle Peter meant when He quoted from the words of the Old Testament Prophet Joel and spoke of “the last days”.

Today we will take a look at the amazing events of the Day of Pentecost and see how the church was empowered to accomplish Christ's mission on earth in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever had a difficult time making a decision?  Paper or plastic?  Coke or Pepsi?  Sometimes we can really suffer from analysis paralysis.  When it comes to this walk of faith, we face times where decisions can be difficult and paths unsure. In today’s teaching from  Acts 1:12-26, we will examine how believers can trust the Word, follow the Spirit, and get to know the “Heart Know-er”.

In the Gospels we see how men and women were impacted by the ministry of Jesus. In the Acts of the Apostles, we see God’s plan for continuing the ministry of Jesus through Christ’s Spirit empowered followers.
