Today we will be challenged by the amazing story of Stephen.  The obedience, boldness, and compassion of this great man of God in the face of false accusations and death set for us an example of how one believer, empowered by the Spirit of God, can present the truth of Jesus Christ in word and deed to anyone, anywhere, and in spite of any circumstances. Stephen demonstrates for us what one follower of Christ can accomplish for the Kingdom of God!

This morning, we’ll be stepping away from our journey through the Book of Acts to take a look at the life of a woman who shows us what it looks like to trust in Jesus, even when life really hurts.

Today we welcome Amy Korn to Life Church. Amy was ordained in 2004 under Faith Covenant Ministries and in 2006 under Cross Country World Missions. She formerly served as the worship and young adults' pastor at Christian Life Center in Toms River, before answering the call to serve at the Justice House of Prayer in NYC, as an associate pastor and intercessory prayer missionary. Amy has participated in several short term missions assignments in the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan and Israel. Her passion is to see prayer restored within the church, intimacy with God awakened in the hearts of all generations, and revival experienced in America, Israel and all nations.

It may come as a surprise. However, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, God intends for your life to so consistently, and so accurately, and so powerfully reflect the life of Jesus that supernatural will be the only way to describe it. Sounds extraordinary, doesn’t it? God using us to see the lives miraculously changed? Yet that’s just what He intends, as we will see later on this morning as we continue our journey through the Book of Acts, God’s training manual for believers.

Jesus taught that miracles and amazing answers to prayer should be anticipated by His followers, an expected part of life within His Church. So why don’t we see more miracles in the church today? Is it possible those of the early church knew something we don’t? Did they practice something we’ve forgotten?

Religions and philosophies of this world have trapped countless millions. But Christianity calls us to a real, lasting relationship with Jesus, the only Savior. Today we will examine the amazing miracle found in Acts 3, and see how in the name of Jesus, the broken can be made whole.
