Have you ever thought about what your schedule would look like if God were in charge of it? This morning, we’re going to see it’s not the number of tasks we accomplish that matters but making the most of the opportunities God gives us.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are not your own. You've been bought with a price, paid for with His precious blood on the cross of Calvary. Since we belong to God, our lives should be lived in such a way as to reflect His new life in us. As we continue out Legacy series, we will look at the importance of sacrifice, living a life surrendered to His will.
From the earliest revelations God made about Himself, He not only tells us about His love, He demonstrates it by His actions. This morning we’ll see that God also tells us how He expects us to love Him and others, not on our terms, but His, with an ALL IN love.
What if you had only a year to live? Would your priorities change? What decisions would you make? What changes would you make? One day this life is going to be over. When that day comes, how will you be remembered? Today, we begin our new series, Legacy. Together we will see God’s plan and purpose for our lives.
Are you in need of healing? Have you been struggling with an addiction? Do you need a breakthrough in your life, marriage, or your family? Is there an important decision you need to make? Jesus still heals. He still delivers. He is still the One who moves mountains. He is still mending broken hearts and setting captives free. Let’s be prepared to see God move mightily as we worship Him, surrender to Him, call upon Him, and are changed by Him.
Whether this is your first time visiting, or you know that Life Church is the place where you know you belong, communion is offered to all who are followers of Jesus Christ.
Today’s teaching is about Hell. Granted, it’s not a popular topic for pastors to teach about, and it’s certainly not what most of us talk about when we are together with friends. Yet did you know that the Bible teaches that Hell is just as real as Heaven? And would you be surprised to learn that no one warned more about the dreadfulness of Hell than Jesus?
This morning, we are continuing our series about Heaven. Today’s teaching is about what happens when we die. We’re going to begin the questions, When we die, how do we know that our souls don’t die with us and that’s the end of us? We’ll also be considering two additional questions: What happens when a believer dies; does he or she immediately go to heaven or rest in a state known as soul sleep? And, lastly, Why are so many people afraid to die?
Heaven is real. It’s more beautiful and glorious than anything we can imagine. In Heaven reside God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the angels, and the saints that have departed this life. Heaven is the most amazing, exciting, and loved filled place there is. Sounds like the perfect place to spend eternity. But how do we get there? There are so many beliefs about the way to heaven, but what is the truth? How can we be sure that we go to Heaven?
This morning, continuing our series on Heaven, we’ll be going to answer a number of questions about Heaven, some of which include: What will we look like in Heaven? Will we recognize and be reunited with our loved ones in Heaven? What are angels? What is the purpose of angels? Is God still creating angels? Is it correct to pray to angels? Does everyone have a guardian angel? Do angels carry us to heaven when we die?”
