How can we describe something that’s indescribable? Where do we begin? What is Heaven like? Today we will look in the Word of God for glimpses of glory and some truths about Heaven.
Many world cultures believe that life continues after we die, and some have gone to great lengths presuming they are preparing for it. Yet many in our culture who claim to believe heaven is going to be their ultimate home spend little time speaking about it or preparing for it. This morning, in the first message of our series about Heaven, we’re going to see there really is a place called Heaven, and that there is a clear path to ensure each of us safely arrives there.
Have you ever wished for a do-over? It appears King Solomon did. As a young man, God gifted Solomon with unsurpassed wisdom and wealth, which Solomon promptly squandered by disobeying God’s commandments and becoming the world’s original playboy. Yet there are still plenty of life lessons we can learn from Solomon, including that God has placed a sense of eternity into the heart of every person on earth.
In the natural world, from plants to people, healthy things grow to maturity. In the spiritual realm, things are no different. Those who have experienced the new birth through Jesus Christ begin a lifelong journey where the growth never stops. This week, let's take a look at what it means to grow!
Have you ever been really stressed out? Sometimes life can really hurt because none of us is exempt from the hurts, trials, and tribulations from living in a broken world. The question is, is the God of all creation big enough to handle what comes our way?
If you’re over 50, you may have begun to notice you are more susceptible to forgetting things than you used to be. Yet Scripture reminds us that there are some things that are so important we are to make every effort to ensure we never forget.

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
—John 20:30-31
As we continue our series Big Questions, we’ve examined the question, “Does God Really Exist?” We’ve seen that since the universe had a beginning, it had to have a cause. That cause must be timeless, spaceless, immaterial, and powerful. Since the universe is finely tuned for human life and of complex design, it must have a designer. We have seen that objective moral law exists, therefore so must a lawgiver. Today we look at the evidence for God provided by the testimony of witness provided by God’s Word, particularly the miraculous. Next week we will hear a powerful example of personal testimony about one person’s search for God.
Our current series, Big Questions, has us looking for answers to some of life’s most challenging questions. Last week we began to examine a crucial question, Does God really exist? How we answer that question has great ramifications on how we live our lives.
We say that everything that had a beginning had a cause. Since the universe had a beginning it had to have a cause as well. This cause had to be spaceless, timeless, immaterial, and powerful. Today, we will see that there is great evidence for design throughout the universe. And wherever there is a design, there is a designer. We will see that there is a great mind behind all of creation, and that great mind is God.
