  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: How To Create A R.I.C.H Lifestyle and Business

    In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

    • Relationships are the cornerstone
    • Impact is more important than income
    • Choices give us freedom
    • Harmonizing your life

    Key Takeaways:

    • Relationships are the cornerstone of a truly rich lifestyle and a flourishing business. Relationships give us a sense of belonging and camaraderie. People can be a source of motivation and direction. Through relationships, we can also create a legacy that outlasts just our one life.
    • The rich lifestyle is not just about the income, it’s about the impact that you make - the mark that you leave on the world. Don’t waste your life, find your purpose and focus on living that out. Inspire and empower others with your journey.
    • Our choices shape our experience of life and behind every choice we make are our unconscious habits. If you want to change your life, then change your habits. You have the freedom to choose what habits you’re going to keep.
    • Our life is made up of different areas and harmony is all about aligning all those areas to make room for everything to coexist within our one life. Establish boundaries. Be excellent at work, in your family, and with your health.

"The habits that you have is the reason you have the life that you have today." — Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Wisdom from Another Year: 10 Powerful Life Lessons

    In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

    • Living life with intention
    • The power of consistent effort
    • Investing in your growth
    • Prioritizing what matters

    Key Takeaways:

    • Be intentional about making decisions for your future self, not only for your current situation. Make decisions that will make future-you happy, fulfilled, and closer to your goals and dreams.
    • Consistent effort compounds over time. No matter how big or small that effort is, it’s going to lead to significant personal and professional development eventually.
    • Personal development is not selfish, it's essential. Put aside a budget that you can use to invest in your growth. When you focus on becoming the best version of yourself, it makes a huge positive difference in everyone around you.
    • Determine what your top priority is and prioritize that. Notice that the word “priority” is in singular, and not plural. Everything else will revolve around your priority.

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Mid-Year Check-In: Get R.E.A.L. to Win the Year

    In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

    • Reflect on where you are
    • Evaluate and navigate
    • Create an action plan
    • Lead yourself, be accountable

    Key Takeaways:

    • It is impossible to navigate to where you want to be if you don’t know where you are at the moment. You need to have a point of reference in order to proceed in the right direction. Look at your life areas and see where you are at in each one.
    • Determine what’s working for you and what is not. We need to know what the gaps are so that we can close those gaps. Go back to the goals you’ve set out at the start of the year or the projects that you planned to do and evaluate each one whether you want to continue with them or not.
    • Now that you have an idea of where you’re at and where you want to go, it’s time to think about what action you can take to close the gap and move forward in the right direction.
    • This is by far, the hardest job but also the most necessary.  Once you have determined a goal and created a plan that will get you there, all that’s left to do is to hold yourself accountable to that and execute your plan.

"Purpose isn't a thing that just drops on you, you find your purpose by taking action." — Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

She is active in supporting healthcare providers as a board member of her local medical society and as a member of the executive committee of the Oregon Wellness Program, a unique statewide network supporting the mental health of healthcare providers. Erin regularly leads breakthrough wellness workshops, retreats, and coaching programs for Physicians, healthcare providers, and professionals to help them create and maintain balance, enhance their health, happiness, and performance, and thrive personally and professionally.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Dr. Erin discuss:

    • Starting With Open-Mindedness
    • The Power Of The Pause
    • Planning For Success
    • The Strength In Asking for Support
    • The Selflessness Of Self-Care

    Key Takeaways:

    • Open-mindedness is critical for growth. It’s absolutely essential that we start with this before getting to the other parts of the framework because, without open-mindedness, the whole thing falls apart before it can even begin.
    • When we pause, we get ourselves used to using our brain’s executive functions. When we train that part of us, we become better thinkers and decision-makers. We become less reactive and more decisive and proactive.
    • No matter how big a goal is, it’s the little steps you take that will get you there. Break down that big goal into bite-sized chunks and make yourself accountable to doing all those little steps consistently. Then, you’ll get the outcome that you want.
    • Delegation doesn’t just empower you to be your best self, it also empowers those that you take on the journey with you to success. Making people a part of your team makes them a part of the solution and therefore, it also makes them a part of your victory. It’s a win-win-win situation!
    • Spend intentional time taking care of yourself. It’s not selfish because it will help you serve others better. If you want to do more good and do it consistently and sustainably, then you need to practice the discipline of self-care. Yes, it’s a discipline - an essential.

"Lower that bar and just get started with that one thing, one step in the right direction. And that will create the momentum to carry you through to those bigger things that you want to accomplish.." —  Dr. Erin Hurley

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath - Navigating the Storm: Six Strategies for Surviving Stress

    In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

    • The S.T.R.E.S.S framework to utilize when you feel stressed
    • Listening to and challenging your negative thoughts
    • Sharing your struggle with others
    • Setting boundaries and creating good habits

    Key Takeaways:

    • The best thing you can do when you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or stressed is to get up and walk away. Take a few minutes off. Change the environment you’re in. Seek out the sunlight, have a cup of coffee, and walk around. Do anything you can to change your environment at the moment.
    • Listen to your thoughts and challenge each one of them. Ask yourself what actions you can take or what you can start doing to improve your situation.
    • Share your situation with your trusted people. By talking things through, you might realize what your next steps could be. You might even gain a better perspective once you hear what other people think or even discover solutions that got others through a similar situation.
    • Be mindful of your energy when you feel stressed. Raise your energy by going for a walk, doing some exercise, or listening to music. Do the things that lift you up and make you feel better. It will help you think of possible solutions to the stress you’re feeling.
    • When you see stress invading your thoughts and shifting your day, then practice the framework and take back control. Recognize the impact that this stressor has on your overall life and your ability to focus on your priorities. Overcome the stress and go back to the things that you had planned for that day.
    • When you hit moments of stress, you fall back automatically on your habits. If you form good habits, then you can get back up quickly out of stress.

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Beyond Resolutions: Embracing Habits as the Path to True Success

    In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

    • The five reasons why resolutions fail
    • The three elements of habit creation
    • The power of habits
    • High-performance habits

    Key Takeaways:

    • Resolutions fail because they often lack clarity, are usually focused on the outcome, and are only concerned with surface-level behavior instead of underlying habits. They are also usually pursued in isolation and don’t take emotional factors into account.
    • The cue triggers the behavior that makes the brain reorganize itself and create neural pathways which leads to dopamine rewarding the person with positive feelings. This process creates a habit loop and makes habits eventually become automatic.
    • Habits are powerful! They are automated, created through consistency, form positive routines, instill resilience, and are the building blocks to creating positive outcomes or changes in your life.
    • Here are the five high-performance habits: clarity, productivity, energy, influence, and courage. These habits are proven to be effective in the lives of many of the world’s best high-performing people.

  • Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath: Lead and Lift's 100th Episode - Embarking on a Journey of Leadership Mastery

    In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

    • Start with one step
    • Enroll others in your vision
    • Get into a rhythm of repetition
    • Vision provides clarity
    • Be empowered, empower others

    Key Takeaways:

    • Whatever dream or goal you have in mind, no matter how big or small it is, start it. Lay down the foundation and build upon it as you go. If you keep going, you’re going to create momentum.
    • Enrolling others in the journey will not only make the journey more enjoyable and more efficient, it will also bring growth for you and the people that you enroll.
    • Repetition builds skills because they become a habit. Once a habit has been created, it becomes automatic and will take less time, energy, and effort to keep doing.
    • Having a vision will help you by giving you clarity on what impact you desire to create with your words, behavior, energy, and goals.
    • When you feel empowered, you become unstoppable. Things take time, but when you have clarity and empowerment, nothing can stop you from reaching what it is you want to achieve.

"If you find people around you who are going through something similar or they've been through that already and they're a little further on the journey, you find that it makes the journey a little bit more beautiful because you know that you can get through it." —  Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath
