This week, Liz interviews Michael Gale, successful C-suite leader, author of The Digital Helix, and regular Forbes contributor. He discusses how only 16% of organizations are getting digital transformations right. This means they can deliver twice as fast as other organizations, cut OPEX by over 30%, and have seen a near-immediate doubling in brand value. However, there is another 32% of organizations that look very similar to 16%, but they get
eight times less returns because their DNA for success is not right.
Listen in as Michael and Liz discuss these facts and others about what the future of "living digital" looks like.

There was a recent article in the news that said a public high school in the United States chose to award 9 students the title of valedictorian. This wasn’t because there was a 9-way tie. Instead, they thought they would offer the honor to more students. The only student that actually earned the title of valedictorian threatened legal action against the school for unfair treatment. Reading this story, TLCG’s subject matter expert on leadership, Richard Rieckenberg, questioned what the latest cultural perspective on effort and reward really is now. Liz Howard and Richard explore this topic on today’s episode.

Managers might exist to maintain a status quo. But does that mean that leadership is about driving constant change? Today’s guest, J. Scott, says yes. But change isn’t as easy as declaring a need for change by publishing policies and procedures that direct this change. J. says that an organization’s culture is what really impacts whether or not change can be done successfully. We go on to discuss what scares people about change. It isn’t that change, in and of itself, is scary to people. It’s the impacts that change has on an employee that scares them. Listen in to hear more and learn how to enact change in a way that makes your staff feel safe and helps your company become more successful.
