In our organizations the importance of both male and female leadership in our organizations is critical to how successful the organization can be. However, do we engage with both leaders appropriately?
From the episode Katy Leaves us Several Resources:
Katy's TWO KEY TAKE AWAY THOUGHTS
—Run intercept for women when they ask for it. Make yourself available. It can become exhausting to be the only woman, or to be consistently questioned, or be undermined/not taken seriously. Plus, if someone is already undermining women, usually a woman is not gonna change their minds! ThIs has to be a group effort.
-Treat women professionally. As you start to notice your own assumptions, you’ll be alarmed. That’s okay. It means you’re learning and growing!
