Pastor Harris led his church and he led his community in the days, weeks and months following the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19th 1995.  Listen as Pastor Harris tells his story to North Church's School of Ministry Leadership Class where his daughter Amy Moffiet is on staff.  This class took a field trip that day and toured the OKC Memorial and followed that tour up with a teaching on leadership through tough times with Pastor Harris at First United Methodist Church, in the former sanctuary which is now called Harris Hall. He spoke of the challenges and victories he experienced as a leader and gave his best leadership advice, “listen to the Holy Spirit and then be obedient.”

For a long time Pastor Harris didn’t talk about the bombing or the events that followed.  Pastor Harris's family felt that it was important to have this story on video in his words for our family. So in 2018, Pastor Harris's daughter Amy asked the North Church production team if they would come along and get Pastor Harris’s story on video.  We are so thankful that they said yes.  A BIG thank you goes out to Mike for taking that Tuesday night to come down and capture this story from my Pastor Harris’s perspective.  It is a treasure to his and they now want to share with you.
