Did you know that there is a scientific model and theory for happiness?
It's called PERMA-V!
In this episode, I am joined by the amazing Dr. Roz Levabarg, and she is walking us through PERMA-V which outlines the six building blocks to happiness at any age.
These include positive emotion, engagement, positive relationships, meaning, accomplishments or achievements and vitality.
Roz Levbarg is a professional speaker and life coach who works with professional women in midlife who feel unappreciated and overlooked at work now that they're older than many of their coworkers. She shows them how to become the best version of themselves so that they can create a newfound sense of purpose, fulfillment, and financial security. She believes that as women, we can be exceptional at any age.
In a previous iteration, Roz was a university professor and occupational therapist, fulfilling professions which inform her coaching. For fun, she enjoys flower arranging and hanging out with her grandkids.
Roz fills this episode with wisdom, knowledge and experience along with the tactics, strategies and tools to help us all achieve happiness!

We are all familiar with the benefits of staying active, but have you ever thought about how important it is for younger children (especially girls) to get involved in youth sports?
They give girls the opportunity to develop all of the skills and traits that women need to thrive!
In this episode, I am talking with a dear friend of mine, Stacie Oliver. We are talking all about how girls are able to develop skills like confidence, leadership and teamwork through youth sports.
Stacie Oliver is a national security professional, a mother of two, a serial volunteer, and an ardent promoter of youth participation in sports. She started her own athletic journey at a very young age and now serves as a board member with a large youth recreational sports organization, coaches multiple field hockey teams, offers training services to active runners, plays on an adult field hockey team, and carts her own kids around to sports activities many days of the week. Stacie strongly believes that participation in sports, especially at any early age, enhances a child's confidence, builds leadership skills and community, and supports a healthy lifestyle.
This conversation is such a good reminder to encourage the young girls in our life to get active. It is also a good reminder for us as women that it is never too late to move our bodies or join a team!

The path to our best self is usually not a straight one. Do you agree?
We are constantly reinventing ourselves and writing new chapters in our stories!
In this episode, I am talking to Mary Ostrowski all about learning to be confident and resilient, even from a young age.
Mary Ostrowski is an educator and author. She likes to say her babies are unconventional in that she doesn't have any of her own, but as a preschool owner and consultant to both parents and schools, she has many! She is devoted to helping parents raise their children to be confident, resilient and to have a love for learning.
Mary's work consists of three pillars. She is the owner of a quintessential preschool in Annapolis, MD. She is the author of Drip, Drop and Drizzle, a creativity journal for children 8-12, with just enough of an academic thread throughout to be a great option either in the home or in elementary school classrooms. She is also the founder of The Drizzle Effect, a consulting business with the singular focus of helping build kids' confidence through literacy and the arts.
This episode is such a good reminder that the sky's the limit when we find the confidence to open up and explore new opportunities.

Does it frustrate you that there is a lack of information available to women about menopause?
You're not alone. Many women feel like strangers in their own body when they start to experience some of the symptoms associated with menopause!
In this episode, I am talking to Lori Yacobi, a menopause health coach, about navigating this tricky time in a woman's life.
Lori Yacobi refers to herself as a menopause navigator! After being blindsided by her symptoms and feeling alone, she spent 5 years studying it and is now dedicated to helping others navigate. Through her coaching and courses, she arms women with knowledge and provides them with a toolkit of solutions, to support their best health throughout the transition and the many years beyond it.
I hope this episode with Lori encourages you to get the support you need and learn even more! Menopause is not something that you should be struggling with.

I cannot believe we are celebrating one year of the Leading Lady podcast!
Launching a podcast has been one of the most special ways to connect with all of you.
In this episode, I recap how I launched, how I have chosen guests so far, how I listen to the needs of the audience and much more.
I think it's so amazing that this podcast has had the ability to bring this community together. Our community of women in leadership can often feel so isolated, and this show has become a place where you feel heard and connected.
I want to give a special shout out to Stephanie Judice for helping me launch and manage my podcast all year. I couldn't have done all of this without you!
