This has been on my mind this week.

Teammates, employees, and even friends and family may question your leadership integrity. They may not agree with choices and decisions you make as a leader. It is SO important to ensure that you are making the right choices for YOU. At the end of the day, can you sleep at night knowing the leadership decisions you made that day? If yes, You are doing JUST FINE.

You know those butterflies you get in your stomach when you are about to start a new job? Yeah, this girl has them. BAD. So I figured I'd get them out by chatting about how I will approach my first week as Plant Manager in our Indianapolis location. 

I hope you get a chuckle at my expense. We have ALL been through it!

OMG. We are HALFWAY through the year!! Now is a great time to take stock and look at the goals you set for yourself in January.  What are you CRUSHING?? Take time to acknowledge that you are a complete badass and are moving forward this year!

What is company "culture"? How does it impact you?

Today, we define this term and I talk about what to look for when determine if the culture of an organization is right for you. What should you ask when looking at a new employer? What should they be looking for in you? How do you change an established company culture?

Each organization has it's own identity. It's SO important that you find a job in a place that fits your values and needs! Don't Settle!

Fifty times I've turned on my microphone and hit record. Fifty times I've questioned if my content will be of value. Fifty times I've been FLOORED by the feedback I've gotten on the show.

I had to do something special for this special landmark. And I cannot BELIEVE I have a podcast about amazing female leaders and have not yet brought on the most influential woman in my own life - my MOM :)

My mother, Mary Piersa, has been my best friend, mentor, and sounding board my entire life. She has given me more love, advice, and wisdom then I know what to do with and it was only fitting that she get on the show and share her perspective with the world.
