जम्मू कश्मीर

जम्मू कश्मीर हिमालय पर्वत माला की गोद मे बसा है जो बर्फ की सफेद चादर से ढका हुआ है। यहाँ पहाड़ो पर बर्फ बारह महीने रहती है जिससे जम्मू कश्मीर बहुत ही ठंडा रहता है। जब पूरा भारत तीव्र गर्मी का सामना कर रहा होता है तब भी कश्मीर मे सुखद और ठंडा वातावरण होता है। घाटियों के किनारे इसको हर्षजनक हिल स्टेशन का रूप बना देते हैं।

हरी भरी वादियां, ठंडी फ़िज़ाए, घने जंगल, खूबसूरत झीलें, गड़गड़ाते झरने, प्रदूषण मुक्त वातावरण और बर्फ से सजी चोटियाँ पर्यटकों को बरबस ही आकर्षित करती हैं। चारो तरफ बिखरी हुई बर्फ की सफेद चादर और सुन्दर फूलों से लदे बाग सुंदरता का प्रतिमान हैं। जिधर नज़रे घुमाओ, वहाँ बर्फ ही बर्फ नज़र आती है और उस बर्फ मे स्कीइंग, बर्फ स्केटिंग जैसे खेलो का आनंद उठाते लोग जो यहा भ्रमण के लिए आए होते हैं। यह बर्फीला वातावरण खेल प्रेमियों मे उमंग और उल्लास भर देता है। ऐसी सुखद अनुभूति की पुनरावर्ती कही नही हो सकती। इसे अफसरा सदृश की तवज्जो से नवाज़ा है।

श्रीनगर जम्मू और कश्मीर की ग्रीष्मकालीन राजधानी है। इसे 'बगीचों का शहर' और 'झीलों की नगरी' के नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है। डल झील इस शहर की प्रसिद्ध झील है जो पहाड़ी पर स्थित है। इस झील मे 2 टापू हैं जो अद्भुत पिक्निक स्पॉट हैं। चाँदी द्वीप उत्तर मे और स्वर्ण द्वीप दक्षिण मे स्थित है। ऐसा अद्भुत सोने-चाँदी का संगम धरती पर कही और मुश्किल से देखने को मिलेगा। यहाँ का स्वच्छ जल इतना स्वच्छ है मानो इसमे कुछ डाल दिया हो। वाह! क्या दृश्य होगा जब आप आराम से हाउसबोट के छज्जे से शिकारा और मुगल बाग का अनोखा आनंद उठा सकेंगे। शिकारा सवारी करने वाले हर व्यक्ति के लिए एक न भूलने वाला स्थान है और हर शख्स कह उठता है - अगर धरती पर कही स्वर्ग है तो वह जम्मू कश्मीर में है। इस प्राकृतिक सुंदरता को देखने दूर दूर से पर्यटक आते हैं और ज़मीन पर स्वर्ग का अहसास करते हैं।

Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir is situated in the lap of the Himalaya mountain chain, which is covered with fluffy white layers of snow. The snow on the mountains remains for the year round so it is very cold in Jammu and Kashmir. When the whole of India is facing a burning hot summer, then Kashmir has such a pleasant and cool atmosphere. The edges of the valleys possess very delightful hill stations.

The lush green valleys, cold air, dense forests, beautiful lakes, gurgling waterfalls, pollution-free environment, and snow-capped peaks attract the tourists very well. The snow makes a white layer scattered all around and the garden with a lot of lovely flowers adds more beauty to this State. There is lot of snow all around, as far as the eye can see, and in that snow people who come for a visit here, enjoy games like skiing and ice skating. These athletic people are full of enthusiasm and take joy in this snowy atmosphere. This pleasant sensation cannot occur anywhere. It is a reward like heaven.

Srinagar is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. This is also called the "City of Garden" and "City of Lakes." Dal Lake is the most famous lake of this city which is located on the hill. There are two islands in this lake which are marvellous picnic spots. Silver Island is on the north end of the lake and Gold Island is located on the south. This amazing confluence of gold and silver would hardly be able to be seen anywhere on this earth. The pure water is so clean here, whether or not anything is poured into it. Wow! What a view lazing on your houseboat balcony watching houseboat gliding by, visiting a unique Mughal garden. This is an unforgettable place for the houseboat ride, each and every person says—"If there is heaven on the earth, it is in Jammu and Kashmir only." Many tourists come from far away distances to see this natural beauty and feel the heaven on earth.
