Eger és környéke

Eger környéke magyarország egyik legnépszerübb turisztikaí célpontja. Érdemes idelátogatni a barokk belváros és vár kedvéért, de ez magyarország egyik fő borvidéke, több fürdőt is találunk a közelben, a turázóknak pedig a Bükk közelsége rejt kikapcsolódási lehetöséget. Egerbe érkezve az első dolgunk mindenképben a barokk belváros megtekintése legyen. Kellemes sétákat tehetünk a fő utcán és a közeli kis utcákban. Egyes épületek szinte változatlanul állnak itt a 18. század óta. A belvárosi séta után érdemes felmenni a várba. Az egri vár a magyar történelem során több alkalommal fontos szerepet töltött be az északi országrész védelmében. A leghíresebb csata 1552-ben zajlott itt. A vár idegenvezetői sok érdekességet tudnak mesélni a középkori hadviselésröl. A török időkbol itt maradt minaret is érdekes úti cél, akárcsak az egri főiskola épülete, vagy a Bazilika. Eger egyik nevezetessége az Egri Bikavér. Ez a vörösbor valószínűleg magyarország legismertebb exportterméke. Nyári látogatásak alkalmával elkaphatunk Egerben egy-egy borfesztivált a Dobó téren. Ilyenkor a tér megtelik bor termelőkkel, igyekezzünk minél több helyen kóstolgatni. Az eger melletti dombokat szinte mindenhol szőlő boritja, egerben pedig sok pincét találunk. A város nyugati oldalán lévő Szépasszonyvölgy egyike ezeknek a pince-központoknak. Az eger környéki kis falvakban több termálfürdő is üzemel. Rövid aútokázás után el juthatunk Egerszalókra vagy Demjénbe. Mindkét falu kiváló termálfürdövel rendelkezik. A túrázóknak is vannak lehetöségek a közelben. A Bükk hegység Magyarország legnagyobb átlagmagasságú hegysége, több iranyból is nekikezdhetünk a megmászásának. Sok kiránduló a közeli Szilvásvárad felöl indul el, ahol a túra elején megnézhetjük például a Fátyol-vízesést, megkóstolhatjuk a helyi pisztrángot. Eger környékére érdemes több napot szánni, hiszen a város nem kevés látnivalót nyújt.A város évszázadok óta kultúrális és vallási központ, ma pedig fontos turisztikai célpont.

Eger and its Vicinity

The area of Eger is one of Hungary's most popular tourist destinations. While it is worthwhile to visit here for the Baroque city center and the castle alone, it is also a major wine region of Hungary and there are several thermal baths in the area, while the Bükk area offers hikers many relaxation possibilities. On arrival in Eger, the first item on anyone's agenda should be seeing the Baroque city center. Pleasant walks can be taken along the main street and nearby alleys. Some buildings have been standing here unchanged since the eighteenth century. After walking through the downtown area, it's worth going up to the castle. Eger castle has played an important role throughout Hungary's history, in the protection of the northern part of the country. The most famous of its battles took place in 1552. The castle tour guides can tell you many interesting facts about medieval warfare. Minarets and other interesting landmarks remain here from the period of Turkish occupation, including the local college and the Basilica. One of Eger's most famous specialties is Egri Bull's Blood. This wine is probably Hungary's best known export product. A summertime visit can offer you the chance to experience a wine festival in Dobó Square. The Square is filled with wine producers; you should do your best to sample all of their products. The hills near Eger seem to be covered with vines, and there are many cellars in Eger. Szépasszonyvölgy, on the city's west side, is the center point of a number of cellars. Several small villages near Eger offer thermal baths too. [...]
