Gordon Firemark has practiced media, entertainment, and business law in solo practice since 1992.  In podcasting circles, he is known as The Podcast Lawyer™ and is the producer and host of the Entertainment Law Update podcast (since 2009), and the author of the Podcast, Blog & New Media Producer's Legal Survival Guide.  His undergraduate degree in radio, television and film and experience in live theatre production informs his thinking about all things legal.  In addition to busy law practice,  He teaches Entertainment Law at  Columbia College Hollywood, Intellectual Property and Media Law at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and Contract law at Pepperdine Law School.

Jenna Suru started her career at the International Sales Team of 2 top Distributors in Paris, Gaumont and SND (M6 Group). Jenna has been working for Canneseries (Cannes Series Festival) since the kickstart of its first edition in 2018, managing the relationships with French and International Authors and Producers, and kickstarting the In Development Forum co-organized with MIP Markets at the Palais des Festivals.

She is the Director of the Paris International Film Festival, which presented in February 2021 the International Premiere of Kiss The Ground, the environmental documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson, and Cream, Nóra Lakos’s romantic modern tale, which is now streaming on HBO.

She produced and stars in her directorial debut period drama L'Âge d'Or (The Golden Age), London IFF 2020 and Franklin IFF 2021 Opening Night Winner, with an international cast. The Golden Age is her tribute to the world-changing charms of 60s Saint-Tropez, and the last drama ever filmed at Notre-Dame Cathedral before the fires. The Golden Age features a 60s soundtrack, including songs from Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed, and screened for the first time at Cannes in 2019. The film has received multiple awards and honors including at the 67th Columbus IFF in the USA and was recently Centerpiece Screening at the 21st Valley Film Festival in North Hollywood.

A daily stoic exercise is to be grateful for waking up and having another day. Some less fortunate than you cannot say the same. Remember that only your thoughts and actions are in your control, and that you must protect your time and contribute to your happiness as these are the only things that can make life worth living when you have nothing else. For example, if you’re young and broke, but you love to paint, buy that expensive paint set because it’ll make you happy rather than wasting your time doing something else or buying a Louis Vuitton wallet or bag because you’re trying to show off to people that are trying to pull the same facade as you… nobody cares. Especially the people who truly are successful, "rich" and understand life, all have reached a level of stoicism to some degree.
