Helsingborg

Helsingborg är Sveriges 8e största stad med 91,457 invånare.

Helsingborg ligger i Öresundsregionen i Skåne och det skiljer bara 4 kilometer mellan Helsingborg och Danmark.

Helsinborgs historia sträcker sig tillbaka till vikingatiden.

Det fanns troligen en mindre besättning redan på slutet av 900-talet.

År 1070 nämndes staden av Adam av Bremen och 21a maj 1085 omnämns staden i ett brev från den Danska kungen Knute den Helige.

Det datumet är ses nu som stadens officiella födelsedag.

På 1100-talet ersattes den enkla befästningen av ett större slott i sandsten.

Det här slottet hade en runt torn med 4 meter tjocka väggar.

Slottet och staden var ett av Nordens mäktigaste fästen på medeltiden, men på grund av detta var staden ofta inblandat i maktspel.

Ständiga strider tärde både på staden och bebyggelsen.

1700-talet var en svår tid för Helsingborg.

Efter flera års krigande blev det en ekonomisk katastrof och efter slagen var det så många massgravar att det hade förgiftat vattnet och pesten bröt ut.

Den svåra tiden pågick ett tag men i mitten på 1800-talet började det gå uppåt för Helsingborg på grund av bland annat spannmålshandeln.

Staden återhämtade sig helt och blev en viktig hamn och industristad.

Helsingborg är bland annat hem till Sveriges vattenmärke Ramlösa.

Ramlösa är ett mineralvatten som finns i olika format.

Stilla, kolsyrat, smaksatt, och med olika vitamintillsättningar.

Dagens Ramlösa hämtar sitt vatten från Ramlösa Hälsobrunn.

Vattnet är från en källa som var funnen på slutet av 1800-talet och som tar tappats sedan 1912.

Vattnet transporteras genom en underjordisk pipeline.

Idag finns det över 10 olika smaker och är en av Sveriges ledande vatten sorter.

Helsingborg

Helsingborg is Sweden's eighth biggest city, with a population of 91,457.

Helsingborg is in the Öresunds region in the Skåne province and it is only 4 kilometers between Helsingborg and Denmark.

Helsingborg's history goes all the way back to the Viking Age.

There was probably a smaller group of inhabitants at the end of the 900s.

In the year 1070 the city was mentioned by Adam of Bremen and on the 21st of May 1085, the city was mentioned by the Danish King Knute den Helige.

This date is considered the city's official birthday.

In the 1100s the simple bastion was replaced by a bigger castle in sandstone.

This castle had a round tower with four-meter thick walls.

The castle and the city were one of Scandinavia's most mighty strongholds in the medieval times, but because of this the city was often involved in power plays.

Constant fights wore out both the city and its development.

The 1700s were a tough time for Helsingborg.

After many years of war there was an economic catastrophe and after the battle there were so many mass graves that the water was poisoned and the plague broke out.

The tough times went on for a while, but in the middle of the 1800s things started to take a turn for the better for Helsingborg because of all the grains and cereal trades.

The city recovered fully and became an important harbor and industry city.

Helsingborg is home to the water brand Ramlösa.

Ramlös is a mineral water that has many varieties.

Still, sparkling, flavored, and with different vitamins.

Today's Ramlös is collected from Ramlös Hälsobrunn.

The water is from a spring that was found at the end of the 1800s and has been tapped since 1912.

The water is transported through an underground pipeline.

Today there are over 10 flavors and it is one of Sweden's leading water brands.
