Today we explore the system God has created to help us all burn all the excess that impedes our individual holiness walk with and through Jesus Christ. There is a lot of meat here to digest. I begin with the poem for today which is entitled, "Potty Training," and then you'll hear our song, "The Happy Song." After that you'll hear a lengthy chapter from my book, Advanced Christianity entitled, "The Burning of the Dross."

Some of my songs are so poetic that I actually treated the lyrics to carefully selected background music and narrated them. "Jesus Please Adjust Me" which was sung in an earlier episode of Leaving the Grandstand World, is, in this one, treated poetically. That is first, then comes today's original song, "Thank you, Thank you, Jesus" and I end with a teaching from Advanced Christianity entitled, "Witnessing the Truth." Should be enjoyable!

Our emphasis is on children in today's episode. We begin with my poem, "Blackboard Desert" which is about school children then I share a song that both children and adults like entitled "Duck Song" and finally the teaching is a true story entitled, "Lost in Love" which is found in my book, A Holy Hodgepodge.

I begin this episode with an original song that was made into a poem because it was...poetic. It is "What You Do to the Least of These." Next you'll hear an original song written by Eva Zarley entitled, "Lord, I Repent" and I conclude with a teaching from A Course in Christianity entitled, "We Rule Our Minds." It should be an interesting episode today with much food for thought.

This episode is dedicated to the Jewish community. I start off with an upbeat oral interpretation of Psalm 23 then share an original song entitled, "Could This Be the Chosen One?" and complete this episode with a teaching from A Holy Hodgepodge entitled, "Bind This on Your Forehead." Should be interesting even to the Gentiles.

Sometimes a repeat of either a poem previously shared or a song previously presented is appropriate to go with the teaching. This happens with both the song and the poem today. Back in episode 5 I shared, "To the Evolutionists" as well as the song, "Spinning Spinning" but they both line up perfectly with the teaching today from my book, The Atheist Delusion. The chapter is entitled, "A Beaker of Goo" and I believe this entire podcast will be eye-opening for unbelievers and enjoyable to believers.

Today's episode features a poem, "God's Whisper," one of the special old hymns with a Calypso beat, "It Is Well with My Soul" and finally a teaching that I recorded many years ago entitled, "Following God's Plans" but it is not in any of my published books. I pray these selections are a blessing to you.

We begin with "The Earth" an original poem then I share a song Andy Sandoval and I wrote when we worked at Alta Distributing in Salt Lake City many years ago. I wrote the lyrics, Andy, the music. He performs "Sustaining Love" for us (piano and vocal only). I finish the episode with a teaching from my book, The Opening Window entitled, "Apathy." My prayer is that ALL these episodes bless you immensely.

Today's episode features one of the longest poems I have ever written entitled, "The Mind Cries Out." The original song is "We Are Free" and the teaching is from A Course in Christianity entitled, "Our World Creating Words." Do enjoy it!

For this first episode of the new year (happy 2022), I share an original song, "Oh, Very Still" and instead of poems today, I share two short pieces that were inspired by television: "Our Father Knows Best" which starred Robert Anderson and "Live Long and Prosper" which was inspired by an episode from the original Star Trek show. For the teaching, I share part of Chapter 6 from my book, Shall I Pray or Watch TV? "Changing the Television Stations." Be blessed!
