The song is "I'm Bearin' Too Many Crosses". The poem is "The Cross" which I felt was appropriate in this episode even though it was mentioned earlier in episode 24. The teaching is from the New Batch and is entitled, "Will This Year Be Built on the Solid Rock of Truth?" Much to think about, much to meditate on.

Today's episode features both a song and poem that are in the public domain (and not written by myself). They are "Jesus the Very Thought of Thee" (poem) and "Holy Holy Holy" (song). The teaching, however, is from "The New Batch" of writings by me and is entitled, "Jesus and His Gain of Function." Enjoy blessings!

This completes Season 7. I've made it so that each season is a whole month of episodes. All of them are focused on helping us all leave the Grandstand World and enter onto the playing field where the focus of Christ in our hearts can shed the true light into the world. Today's episode starts with a teaching from my book "A Course in Christianity" with a short chapter entitled "Sweep It All Away, Lord" then I share an old song I wrote entitled, "Forgive Me, Please" (this is a story song you may enjoy) and I end today's episode with a poem, "After the Heady Journey Just Taken." Dig around. Somewhere in here there lurks a blessing for you. I hope you find it.

Welcome, once again, to my podcast, Leaving the Grandstand World. The original poem shared today is "Stuck to Me" followed by Eva Zarley's song, "A Bruised Reed." But first, she shares how the song was birthed. Finally, the teaching today is from my first book once I moved to Indiana and married Eva. That book is no longer in print but it was called, Extreme Christianity. From it I pulled a chapter entitled, "The Pill." Most of the chapters of Extreme Christianity have been distributed to two of my other books, "Advanced Christianity" and "A Holy Hodgepodge."

Today I speak a little of Brant Hansen's enlightening book, "Unoffendable." That teaching is at the end. The poem for today is entitled, "I've Heard the World Crying" while the song is "What You Do to the Least of These." You will come away from this podcast with much to ponder.

This is a special episode for the times we are in. Please enjoy the poem "Although a Cut Heals," the song, "There Is a Perfect Story," and a special teaching, "The Jesus Jab." We must love the truth MORE than we hate the lies.

My teaching, which is entitled "Scarcity" and comes from recent writing, ends with a reference to Jesus making a whip of cords and driving out the money-changers so, though I previously shared the song, "Jesus Made a Whip of Cords" I'm sharing it again today. The poem for today is entitled, "The Dam." Be blessed!
