“One day no matter what I will be cancer-free, I know this. Cancer does not get to end my story. It may end this earthly life, but it doesn’t win. There’s no scenario in which that happens and I’m good with that, I am very very good with that.” – Jody Shumway On this week’s episode of the Grace Unscripted Podcast, we hear about Jody’s battle with cancer and how she is using the time God has given her to glorify Him. God has put people in place to support her, but He has also put people in her path so she can talk to them about Jesus. When her cancer returned, she was “devastated, but not angry” and she prayed “God here I am, send me.” She prays every day that God will take away her cancer because she loves her family and would like to spend more time with them, but she trusts God’s plan. Jody wants everyone to know about Jesus and to have her story to be used for that purpose. Acts 4:31, “And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.” Jody has that boldness and courage.
