The message of sonship, and understanding who we are in Christ, should lead us to the understanding of our authority in the Kingdom of God. As sons grow up they realize they have a job to do in their father's business. We have been brought into the Kingdom, or born again into the Kingdom of God and have authority as sons of God. We must learn to use this authority. A King without authority is just a figure head that really does nothing but look good for the public. We are called to make a difference.

If you don’t understand your authority then you cannot use it properly. If you are not aware of your Heavenly rights you cannot stand up for them. If you don’t understand your divine power you cannot fully use it. This is why we must learn to use the authority invested in us to extend God’s Kingdom and to reveal His glory!

We don’t have to live life just allowing things to happen to us and then use religious responses saying it's “God’s will.” We have been called to rule and reign above them. Christ didn't leave us powerless, but gave us power to extend His Kingdom.

So much of our lives revolves around our wallet or purse - it often contains currency, our identifications, and many other every-day items. When we lose it, we often panic and feel anxiety and stress. While we know our wallet is not where we find our value, if everything in it was taken, we would feel vulnerable to our value being stripped from us. That's why it's important to note that we are the "living letters written by Christ." Our identity and value has to be found in who we are in Him. When our value is set by the constant of Christ, it can never be stripped or taken from us.
