Legacy Church - Online Campus

The message of sonship, and understanding who we are in Christ, should lead us to the understanding of our authority in the Kingdom of God. As sons grow up they realize they have a job to do in their father's business. We have been brought into the Kingdom, or born again into the Kingdom of God and have authority as sons of God. We must learn to use this authority. A King without authority is just a figure head that really does nothing but look good for the public. We are called to make a difference.

If you don’t understand your authority then you cannot use it properly. If you are not aware of your Heavenly rights you cannot stand up for them. If you don’t understand your divine power you cannot fully use it. This is why we must learn to use the authority invested in us to extend God’s Kingdom and to reveal His glory!

We don’t have to live life just allowing things to happen to us and then use religious responses saying it's “God’s will.” We have been called to rule and reign above them. Christ didn't leave us powerless, but gave us power to extend His Kingdom.

Why do Christians think that the devil has authority? The Bible contradicts this but many Christians act like they don't believe it.

We need each other to grow up into Christ. This happens as each joint supplies it’s part and does what it has been purposed and equipped to do. The Church grows and builds itself up in love. Much as in a human body, the health of the Church body depends on the health of each member. We are one in Christ.

The way of Christ is a way of humility. As members of His body we are called, not to independence but to inter-dependence. We are dependent on each other. This is the way a “body” is made. We need each other.

We are all human and we belong to each other. There is not us and them, there is just us. The person that you struggle to love because they have done something against you is loved by God just as much as you are. The people that you struggle to trust because they hurt you are still just as much a part of God’s world as you are. In Christ, we are one

So much of our lives revolves around our wallet or purse - it often contains currency, our identifications, and many other every-day items. When we lose it, we often panic and feel anxiety and stress. While we know our wallet is not where we find our value, if everything in it was taken, we would feel vulnerable to our value being stripped from us. That's why it's important to note that we are the "living letters written by Christ." Our identity and value has to be found in who we are in Him. When our value is set by the constant of Christ, it can never be stripped or taken from us.
