We hear people saying the church is full of hate and hypocrisy. And though there's no doubt that there are individuals who may be, do we really have to agree on everything someone says or does in order to truly love them? Did Jesus love everyone? The in-filling of Holy Spirit, second work of grace or Baptism of the Holy Spirit, whatever you want to call it, is for us today. Not everyone agrees and that is ok. It is not a prerequisite for salvation. The baptism of the Holy Spirit allows the power of God to fill us so that He can empower us to fulfill our purpose for the Kingdom. The message of sonship, and understanding who we are in Christ, should lead us to the understanding of our authority in the Kingdom of God. As sons grow up they realize they have a job to do in their father's business. We have been brought into the Kingdom, or born again into the Kingdom of God and have authority as sons of God. We must learn to use this authority. A King without authority is just a figure head that really does nothing but look good for the public. We are called to make a difference.
