In this message, we conclude Jesus’ series of woes against the Scribes and Pharisees by examining the final and most severe denunciation in Matthew 23:29–36. Here, He calls out their hypocrisy—honoring the prophets of the past while being just like those who rejected and killed them.
For greater context, we turn to the prophet Isaiah's six woes against Israel and see how they reveal a persistent pattern of spiritual adultery — God’s people turning away from Him while going through the motions of religion.
