The promise God made to David that his house and his kingdom would stand before God forever was not conditional on his descendant's faithfulness.  It was made according to the faithfulness of God. Praise God for that!

We don't find Saul in the genealogy of the Messiah. We find the one who came after. Not the king the people demanded, but the king God chose. A very unlikely king. A man through whom God would establish a throne that would reach beyond the sinful desire of the people for a king, to provide for the salvation of all who truly believed for the glory of God alone.

Pastor Caleb preaches from Matthew 1:1-2, as we begin a new sermon series through the Gospel According to Matthew.   As we work through the geneology of Christ, we will pay special attention to the major figures and how their stories prepare us for the Messiah who was to come.

Pastor Caleb preaches from Hebrews 1:10-14 on Christ having a greater destiny than the angles.  Even though in taking on human flesh, the eternal Son of God was made for a little while lower than the angels, His destiny was supremecy in all things.  

Syler Feldman preaches from Hebrews 3:1-6, commending us to consider Jesus, to boast in Christ, and to be distinctly and overwhelmingly Christian.

Pastor Caleb preaches from Hebrews 2:5-9 on God's design for man in creation, and how their purpose is designed to glorify Christ and show Him as supreme in all things.
