You’ve probably heard of flood legends around the world. But these aren’t the only stories that sound similar to the history in the Bible.

The Polynesians have a story about a group of people that, after the flood, tried to build to the sky, but the creator changed their language. The ancient Sumerians had a story of a time when all people spoke one language, but it got changed by a god. Groups in Asia, India, North America, and other places have very similar stories.

Of course, the real account of this event, called the tower of Babel, is found in the Bible. You see, these legends confirm that the Bible’s history really is true.
