2023 is the year! Or is it?
Let’s chat about goals, aspirations and how to make those dreams come true. With co-host Gladys Perez, we review the similarities between writing books and screenplays and how writing to market is a necessary evil in order to write what’s in your heart.
Join us and follow us us down the rabbit holes we will inevitably find. And heck, have some laughs along the way.

With a new Star Wars book, The Princess and the Scoundrel, releasing August 16, 2022 we were pleased to have a chance to chat with Rebel Rising author Beth Revis about Star Wars and writing. She is a phenomenal writing coach and her words of wisdom in this podcast will serve all writers in every stage of their process.
A bit about Beth:
Beth Revis is a NY Times bestselling author with books available in more than 20 languages. Her most recent title, The Princess and the Scoundrel, is a Star Wars adult science fiction novel featuring the marriage and adventure-riddled honeymoon of Leia and Han.
Beth’s other books include the bestselling science fiction trilogy, Across the Universe, Star Wars: Rebel Rising, the dark fantasty duology Give the Dark My Love and the twisty contemporary A World Without You. She’s the author of additional novels as well as numerous short stories and articles. Beth is the co-owner of Wordsmith Workshops and the author of the Paper Hearts series, both of which aid aspiring authors. A native of North Carolina, Beth is currently working on multiple new novels. She lives in rural NC with her son and husband.

Had the pleasure of meeting Soul Summoner Series author Elicia Hyder @ Space Coast Book Lovers Con in June 2021.
Join us as we chat about her books, the writing process and the importance of knowing when to say ENOUGH.
About Elicia:
In the dawning age of scrunchies and “Hammer Pants,” a small-town musician with big-city talent discovered she was expecting her third child, a staggering eleven years after her second. From that moment on, Susie Waldrop referred to her daughter Elicia as “the blessing,” which is Southern-speak for “the accident,” albeit a pleasant one.
In true youngest-sibling fashion, Elicia lived up to the birth-order standard by being fun-loving, outgoing, self-centered, and rebellious throughout her formative years. She excelled academically—a feat her sister attributes to her being the only child who was breastfed—but abandoned her studies to live in a tent in the national forest with her dogs: a Rottweiler named Bodhisattva and a pit bull named Sativa. The ensuing months were very hazy.
In the late 90’s, during a stint in rehab, Elicia was approached by a prophet who said, “Someday you will write a book.”
She was right.
Now a firm believer in the prophetic word, Elicia Hyder is a full-time bestselling writer of urban fantasy, romance, and women’s fiction. Her novels have been optioned for TV and film, and are available in print, eBook, and audio all over the world.
She lives (in a real house) in middle Tennessee with her husband, five children, and two (sensibly named) dogs.

Got to speak with Indie Author Gina Ferguson about erotica writing and indie publishing.
In her words:
I'm a mother of two and a contemporary romance author. I love to write a romance with passion, drama, a little mystery and a lot of heat. My greatest achievement in writing would be to have one of my books become a movie on the big screen or T.V. I've been inspired by many authors stories but I believe mine are unique, each one derived by my own imagination.
