The Philistines consult with their spiritual leaders regarding what to do with the Holy Arc

The Holy Arc creates havoc in the land of the Philistines

The Philistines defeat the Children of Israel, and take the arc. A man of the tribe of Benjamin hurries to Shilo to bear the tidings.

The Jews take the arc from Shilo into battle with them, after suffering initial defeat at the hands of the Philistines.

Shmuel receives a prophecy, and eventually becomes a prophet, and changes the culture in Israel.

The young Shmuel hears G-d's voice for the first time, and thinks it is Eli who is calling him.

We finish off Ch. 2, where the man of G-d metes out the punishment of the House of Eli
