On this weeks episode of Les Incompetent, we cover Chapters 13-18 of Ian Davidsons Book "The French Revolution: From Enlightenment to Tyranny." We cover the execution of the king, the failure of the new French Government, and the rise of the Sans Coulottes, who execute a lot of power (and people) with the new failed state. Also the Jacobins begin to push their power over the other parties in France, with disastrous consequences. 

Our first Field Trip of many! This time, Austin will go over his trip to St Augustine Florida, oldest city in the USA and home to many great establishments, some historical and some recreational. He also goes on a mini tirade over his hatred of Colonial Williamsburg.

The King is Dead! We finish our reading of Antonia Frasers "Marie Antoinette: The Journey and begin Ian Davidsons "The French Revolution." We have our final thoughts on Marie Antoinettes fate and how we should adjust how they view her, and we begin a true historical retelling of the French Revolution. Spoilers, the Queen does not make it. 

Before we wrap up our reading of Antonia Frasers "Marie Antoinette; The Journey," we felt we needed to watch and review the 2006 movie that was made for the book. Directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzman, we look to see if the creators did their homework, and if they were capable to portraying Marie Antoinette fairly. We also end on Zach defending a member of his dinner party.
