I have always thought that capturing an inspiration, a feeling, an experience, or anything a human being can see or feel and being able to transform it into an object, music or any kind of art, is one of the most beautiful forms of magic that can happen.

That intangible moment when things just unfold, quickly, because it's in the air. This is what’s behind my new single “You’re Gone But I’m Still Thinking About You”. It speaks of a breath, a feeling, it talks about something that really happened.

Last Year at Marinbad slides back into view once again with a bountiful audial offering from musical polymath Alejandro Mosso, which contains just about all the emotive enrichment you could ever want from a dance music record.

Mosso, originally from Argentina but currently based in Berlin, has since 2002 released a plethora of records that have, over time, showcased his sound and craft as one of profoundness and emotional dexterity. Mosso has aligned himself within the threshold between House, minimal, tribal, and experimental music, with a firm eye on creating razor-sharp sounds and highly immersive audial palettes. This curiosity stems from Mosso's range of compositional and technical skills, with a degree in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts highlighting his fascination with the look and feel of what can be heard and touched upon with music. His live performances epitomize his approach to his craft and have been highly received around the world, no matter the space. Mosso's discography is littered with releases on some of the best labels going, including the likes of Hivern Discs, Third Ear, LumineresLaNuit, and his own imprint Mosso - a real journey throughout the electronic music cosmos.

Real name Elisa Massara, Elasi is an Italian singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ whose style explores the surreal and the obscure to great lengths, attracting followers with her unique brand of pop filled electronica and left of centre vocal. Her music journeys across a metropolis of synths, drum machines and faraway rhythms, incorporating traditional instruments, chants, and global choir ensembles with her avant guard Italo disco style. A resident on Radio Raheem, Elasi has collaborations waiting in the wings with Bawrut, Clap! Clap!, Montoya, Anoraak, Sebra Cruz, and Populous.

Trident and Elasi bring on board Sebra Cruz ( Margot, Margot Records) for the rework, whom under his Pepe guise has been a key resident in the Romagna coastal clubs since the ‘90s, releasing on Life And Death, with DJ Tennis, Catz N' Dogz, and Joseph Ashworth. The Italo Disco vibe of Musica Especial is as exotic as it is wonky. It is shiny and electric, a musical Salvador Dali, designed for summer dancefloors and for twirling to beneath the midnight stars .

One of the best vocal anthems of recent times deservedly gets a clutch of very slick remixes here on Refuge Records from some very hot names. Tripmastaz do their bouncy '90s house rawness thing across two chunky remixes full of ravey stabs, woozy chord stabs, acid licks and phat bass. Scottish upstart Tiptoes continues his amazing run of form with a remix that harks back to golden age of soulful, propulsive UK garage, and Mr. Pitiful rounds off with soothingly beautiful jazz piano solos lacing his wonderfully deep Detroit-flavoured version.

Sugar'' is the first work of the italian disco-funk band Le Dune, a new project led by Francesco Fisotti. The electronic drums and synthesizers blend with groovy bassline, sparkling guitars and pop-oriented vocals. In addition to the radio version, in the "Extended Mix" more space is given to the groove, the instrumental version is more percussive and tribal, in the end "La Notte Mix" is a late 80's proto-house edit co-produced by Issam Dahmani.

What started as an idea to update mixes turned into an unexpected family collaboration.

Debut record release, K.P. Ring blends a tapestry of lyrics into a hooky club tune with flair.

Cult Producer Bangkok Impact returns to the label and reaches for the Italo stars with a distinctive chugging rendition adding additional vocoder effects along the way.

We’re excited to present you Yurk’s First Vinyl album on Chomp! Chomp! This six-track all original music by Yurk, is diverse and rhythm heavy across the electronic genres. Kicking off the album with “Delay Tech,” this 90s-inspired acidic house track is festival-ready with big energy. Then we dive into “Bustin’” - a bouncy Tech House with punchy and multiform tones. Follow by “Sin Control,” warm Jazzy House grooves accompanied by delayed filled Trumpet theme. On the B side, “Cosita” - a hard-hitting Detroit-inspired dub techno composition that treks into 90s territory. Follow by “El Nuevo Jazz”, a playful and dynamic track which combines punchy percussive electro breaks with a high-spirited bassline. To conclude the album - “Satori,” takes us on a spaced-out acid house journey, inspired by the Japanese Buddhist term for awakening, offering a psychedelic and uplifting finale.

Yurk is a dynamic producer and DJ from Puerto Rico, now making waves in Brooklyn's music scene. Blending Latin rhythms with global electronic beats, he has released music with local labels like Mechanical in Queens, NY. As the head of Organized Disorder, Yurk hosts a biweekly radio show, along with an all vinyl monthly Saoco! Party focused on Caribbean and outernational music.

While summer is already in full swing, we have compiled the perfect soundtrack for your sunset or sunrise parties. Here is Smiling Comp Vol.1, featuring 8 tracks that reflect our influences, ranging from Balearic and progressive to electro and trance vibes, created by local and international artists we've encountered on our travels.

The compilation opens with a progressive piano track by @breezysmusic, evoking a nostalgic vibe from years before we were even born. "Insomnia 92" is followed by "Some Magnetic Way" by @geo-taguchi, capturing the perfect Balearic summer mood. Next is @doubluremusic with "Looping Loop," a close friend who once again proves he’s a top-notch electro producer.

Some of our co-founders are also featured in the compilation, each showcasing their unique talents: "Call It a Day" by @arvemusic highlights his electro and rock inspirations, while @nairless-music makes a striking return with "Celestial Infinity," ideal for an afternoon in Tisno for those in the know.

We then enter peak dancefloor euphoria with the progressive "Spellbound," the debut release from @eclectic_elektra! @aidenfrancis needs no introduction; his energetic "Pomona Beach" definitely sets the tone for an endless summer. Finally, our dear friend @shader_dj perfectly closes this compilation with "Nighcrawler," leading us into a trancey and nostalgic atmosphere until the end of the night.

Justin Deighton and Leo Elstob (Leo Zero) emerge from the exit of Two Tribes to unveil Totem Projects. This new project is part their continued evolution of music, art, and brand experiences.

For those who don’t already know, before the beer brand, they created labels in the 90s such as Pacific Records of Hot Lizard fame, Top 10 UK dance hits, and more recently festival stages (We Out Here, Wildwood, Bigfoot) and London’s Café Del Carpark - CAMPFIRE King’s Cross and Hackney Wick.

The journey continues in 2024 with a series of music releases, brand collaborations, pop-ups, and capsule collections that push boundaries, combining visual art with DJs.
