  • PREMIERE : Match Box - High En3rgy
Following last year’s Cyber Sunshine single and Vantage Point EP, plus the former’s expansion into a Deluxe Remix Pack EP just this Spring, trusty Dutch trance traders Match Box are miraculously back with their fourth consecutive glistening Goddezz release. This time, it’s a double offering that's boundless celestial charm again centers around the star we owe it all to: think of High En3rgy as the sunset daydream and Clint’s remix the sunrise epiphany.
Spanning 8 minutes and 7 seconds that slip by all too soon, High En3rgy is a lucent, dreamlike journey not easily forgotten. Layering a faintly melancholic and hauntingly simple melody over a nonetheless pulsating bassline, it accomplishes something rare: an emotive marrying of the wistful and the rousing. The effect is a plucky, heartening sound that walks a tightrope between nostalgic reflection and enduring anticipation. It’s delicate yet driving - the gorgeous sonic expression of a sunset daydream that could leave you leaning either way.
Whether you emerge from that musing trance with a lump in your throat or a fire in your belly, Clint’s remix is the impossibly ideal next step. Faithfully refracting its originator’s sound whilst instantly supercharging the mood from spirited to high-spirited, its giddy rhythm and buoyant-turned-bouncy beat inject pure, immediate, perhaps emergency enlivenment. It’s more than fun, playful or invigorating: it’s irresistibly, heroically stirring - and once its sunrise synths come scorching over the horizon, you’re passing through gleeful exhilaration into sublime elation, with no hope of holding back any tears.

  • PREMIERE : Sean McCabe & Black Sonix - Modulate
Sean McCabe’s Good Vibrations Music opens the vault for a peek inside some of its closely guarded and much-loved releases courtesy of this limited edition 12 inch. Featuring four new to vinyl releases and including a whole host of luminaries from across the soulful spectrum, this is sure to be a be a hot fave with long standing lovers of the label.
Glenn Underground’s jazz-funk fueled rework of 'This Place' kicks off and needs no introduction. Heavily supported and much loved throughout soulful circles and beyond with Louie Vega, Dave Lee, Jimpster, Jamie 3:26 and Fred Everything all loudly banging the drum, people have been clamoring for this to be on vinyl and the label listened. Up next is 'Modulate', a collaborative force of the highest order between Sean and long-time friend Black Sonix. Blurring the lines through deep, soulful, and house is somewhat of a specialty for the duo and there’s bags of all three flavours throughout alongside a hefty sprinkling of sun-kissed, Latino-inspired pianos.
On the B is 'Still Standing Here' that began in March ‘22 when vocalist Madeeha recorded an acapella in a phone message, quietly singing to avoid waking the neighbours. She sent the idea to drum & bass producer from Bristol, DJ Mixjah, who then approached Sean McCabe with the idea. Together they produced a hypnotic, afro-tinged, soulful backing track to fit the voice note, with an intention to re-record it in a studio environment. Sean and Mixjah soon realized what they had created blended perfectly with the sincerity, intimacy and rawness of Madeeha's heartfelt performance in the original and decided to stick with it. A firm fave for Atjazz, Crackazat , DJ Spen and Emmaculate.
Closing out with 'You Don’t Know', a slick and energetic dancefloor bubbler from London based David Bailey and Canadian songstress MissFly. Bailey is a firm favourite amongst the London house music community, he’s produced standout releases on Idris Elba's 7wallace, Makin Moves, Good Vibrations Music, Rhemi Music and Unquantize. MissFly is known for her soulful serenades and ability to write songs 'on the fly'. She has carved out an impressive discography with soulful house nuggets like '1972,' 'Wanna Love You' and 'Thankful'.

  • PREMIERE : Davin Varda - Is Ecstasy
WPP stands for Witness Protection Program, a space for artists to bathe in anonymity. To release music that they wouldn’t be able to release otherwise. It's the non-official Worldwide Peace Project.
Ecstatic Peace is more than a musical offering — it's a proposition that peace and ecstasy can coexist on the dance floor. These tracks portray a yearning for better times, serving as both wishful thinking and a coping mechanism for producer Davin Varda.
Compelled to channel his frustration with the current state of affairs into a more constructive effort, Varda has created two powerful tracks. Find Peace in Every Way takes a deep dive into house music's past, recalling pianos, organs, and vocal manipulation techniques while giving the track a modern edge with a sub-aquatic bassline and crispy drums.
Is Ecstasy echoes this nostalgic sentiment, referencing both classic bittersweet '90s house anthems and elements from the heyday of Motown records. It's the perfect end-of-night tune, inspiring hands-in-the-air moments and dance floor embraces.
Together, these tracks offer a journey through time and emotion, reminding us of music's power to unite and uplift, even in challenging times.

  • PREMIERE : Justin Depth - Angel
Justin Depth is the moniker of artist and co-label head of Image Research, Justin Myers. As a catch-all for his many different creations as producer and performer, his sound has touched on a near-infinite array of electronic sounds like IDM, ambient, drone, techno, broken-beat, downtempo, and many others. As 1/2 of the duo Alien House, he has also helped lay the foundation for a prolific output, most notably their most recent album ‘You’, a stunning display that exists in the cross-sections of futurist-leaning electronica.
Amidst a cloud of digital one-offs and concept-driven collected works, emerges the first physical Justin Depth offering to date, ‘Wired’. Engineered and realized through various tactile and interfacing methods, the 5 track EP is a crisp and tectonic offering, showing a keen attention to detail and a deep appreciation for beat-driven atmosphere. Against the backdrop of ambient texture and glossy surfaces, broken-down breaks and percussion patterns cut through with precision and fluidity. Familiar and unobtainable all at once. Music for distant memories and close encounters. Twilight frequencies wired in time.

  • PREMIERE : Andrey Sirotkin feat. Pyrame - Untouchable (Acid Washed Remix)
Andrey Sirotkin makes a remarkable debut on THISBE Recordings with the single “Untouchable”, a synth-infused slow techno track with an electric 80s feel, that should awaken every listener’s imagination from start to finish. The Kyiv-based producer, known for his fine analogically produced leftfield techno tracks released - among others - on Rune Records and Mystictrax and his own label Vyrii records, comes up once again with an original production which strikes the right emotional balance between melancholy and euphoria.
Initially produced as an instrumental tune, such an atmospheric track was begging for an extra melodic vocal input, and this is where Pyrame comes into play. Indeed, “Untouchable” features the Berlin-based lyricist and vocalist who conveys a warning message about humankind being reduced to a simple product in modern society, a lame unit in a world driven by statistics where everything is measured and quantified. The writing is on the wall: with “Untouchable”, Pyrame raises awareness about losing every aspect of our freedom, privacy and unbiased opinion. Scary, with the hope of getting sometime, somehow, out of it. We must.
In order to add some other perspectives to “Untouchable” when it comes to genres, the EP is completed by a deep techno remix by Joseph S Joyce, A Caribbean rework by A-Tweed & Oltrefuturo - which also got declined into a dub version - as well as an electro mix by Acid Washed.

  • PREMIERE : Kris Vango - Source Energy
Following previous releases for Saturn, Venus, Pluto, Earth and Moon. 7th Sun follows Kris Vango’s ongoing theme of albums that conceptualise planetary music. Exploring the sonic landscapes of the Sun through various post-club electronics and synthesis.
Produced, mixed and mostly written at Uluru in central Aus-tralia, said to be the solar plexus chakra of Earth with a subject that evokes the indigenous roots of a country that is seen as a contemporary western strong-hold. The album is themed from sunrise to sunset. Beginning with a tribal ritual for the Suns morning rays and ending with the sonic imagining of a sunset over water.
Throughout the 10 tracks, the album warps and winds through experimental electronic, dance-pop, IDM, hip hop and techno.
With the archetypal themes of self-empowerment, positivity, energy, indigenous identity, strength, endurance and the self that are reflected in spiritual understandings of the Sun’s role within our psyche and consciousness.
