Londoner Joe Milli joins the Faux Poly family this summer with his instantly classic EP Manifest Leisure. As a long-standing staple of Peckham's music scene, Joe has held down residencies at Tola, Balamii, Rinse FM, and now SWU.FM, along with hosting a packed out in-store party at Planet Wax earlier this year.

Joe's sound is based upon Techno and UK Funky through and through. His radio shows and DJ sets reflect an eclectic taste, branching confidently from these genres, perfectly encapsulated on this release.

Together at the end of 2023, all four tracks rely heavily on the Vermona Mono Lancet bass synth along with steady drum-tool like rhythm, always shining a light on the delivery: super playable club music that isn't overworked. Spanning Techno & Bass, there's a proper UK Funky groove embedded throughout the whole EP.

It is with great pleasure that we present ‚Bioma,‘ the upcoming EP from Pianeti Sintetici. A deep dive into organic yet groovy sounds rooted in the realms of psychedelic techno and grey area. Pianeti Sintetici ('synthetic planets' in Italian) is a new conceptual project by Davide Perrone (Primal Code) that draws inspiration from the factories of Magrathea, a planet in Douglas Adams' classic space opera The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where artificial planets are manufactured on commission.

'This concept has always fascinated me, and I chose the name to frame a hypothetical future of synthetic worlds, told with sound,' Davide says. 'I like to imagine the howls of creatures inhabiting solar systems outside our own. Rarefied atmospheres, alien sequences, and unfamiliar tonal scales. So, I see Pianeti Sintetici as an open-ended design research project where I can explore these inspirations.'

Still buzzing from the first House of Spirits 12” earlier this summer, Razor-N-Tape tops up our collective high with even more soulful bliss from the mind of Tom Noble. A Brit-funk inspired up-tempo heater with spindly guitars, driving bass and a joyous vocal hook, ‘Please Take Me There’ is another all-original modern retro offering that portends the massive gravity of the full LP to come. On the B side, Dutch production wunderkinds Makèz reconfigure the tune into a sultry vocal house excursion, and Sizmo takes it to the beach with an extra wavey ‘Balearic Acapella Dub’. Creating an international name for itself the past decade as a sample pack label, Samples From Mars makes its venture into the music world as a home for founder Teddy Stuart’s original productions. Long before making samples, Stuart garnered credits working as a grammy-nominated engineer in the hip hop world, and DJing / producing with Justin Strauss as A/JUS/TED, for DFA, Domino Records, Southern Fried Records and more. Samples From Mars plans to release a variety of genres with a vintage tinge and a focus on high quality, analog production.

Video Burnout is the collaboration of Adam Stegemann and Teddy Stuart, inspired by the loft parties of their youth and a love for archaic gear, they have crafted a sonic world of cinematic instrumentals, displaced by disco basslines, negative space, and chaotic IDM beats. In 2020, Stegemann acquired a bunch of old samplers and drum machines. With no production experience he loaded up floppy disks and connected the gear, chaotically punching in drum patterns, arpeggios and basslines inspired by his fave disco records, 90s IDM, and a burning desire to impress his friend. "Stegs" filmed all of this and sent the videos to Teddy who was blown away. There was just one problem: no audio had been recorded yet. Teddy selected his favorite videos, and over the course of many months, the two developed each track further, painstakingly re-creating and expanding upon the magic moments Stegs had captured on his phone. After a lot of production, editing and therapy, what came out was Video Burnout's debut EP, ‘Shame Spirals’.

‘ Shame Spirals ‘ is a five track EP full of brooding, lo-fi instrumentals created using archaic gear and floppy disks. Inspired by the dollar-store disco records of their youth and IDM vanguards of the 90s, Stegemann and Stuart have crafted their own sonic world as Video Burnout. Merging unlikely ingredients such as cinematic synths, glitchy beats, lush soundscapes, and syncopated disco basslines, equally at home in your headphones or on the dancefloor.

Sons of Sevilla are blood brothers Henry & Reuben Smith who hail from Featherstone in the North of England. It began in 2020 during lockdown by chance, at the time Reuben was working on solo material for his second album with Soundway Records. When Henry visited Reuben at his home studio to play guitar on his record, they wrote a couple of songs while thinking about by JJ Cale records and a lifetime of the music they had heard growing up in their family pubs.

Henry takes care of business on guitar and bass, while brother Reuben steers the vocals and dazzles with thoughtful key work. Recently relocating to Spain, Henry & Reuben now live between the mountains of Andalucia and their birthplace in England. Having had a close connection to the city of Sevilla since they were kids when their family visited each summer, out of these fond memories Sons of Sevilla was born. Their sound is inspired by early 70s records like JJ Cales Naturally, Nino Ferrers with Radiah Et Le Sud, and Neil Youngs Harvest Moon.

As they step out with their debut long player on the hallowed Southern Californian label, Ubiquity Records, the second LP is already in the making. Having recently signed with Space Agency in the USA, FMLY representing them EU & UK side, Emerged Talent in Germany, Switzerland Austria, Sons of Sevilla will be hitting the open road in 2025 and taking their sounds to the world on tour.

Lullabies For A Wildcat is a collection of tracks recorded at their family home in the summer of 2020. Shades of 70s psychedelia echo throughout, with tripped out layered vocals building a vibration that seems way beyond their years like a hazy hedonistic cloud of smoke in surround sound.

Parry steps into the realm of Tight Chest with his latest EP, ‘Nightingale’, where he intertwines the melodies of nature's songbirds with the depths of bass-driven music. Embracing the fusion of electronic beats and avian harmonies, Parry invites listeners on a sonic voyage where the boundaries between nature and music blur. "Siren’s Calling" takes a slower, more ominous turn, drawing inspiration from the depths of UK techno. Low subs merge with saturated bass guitar tones from BRNDN, while swirling atmospheres create an immersive sonic landscape that ebbs and flows with intensity.'

Ediciones Villasonora’s sophomore release is “Laguna” by Phran. The Venezuelan lands on the southeastern Spanish label with a mini-album crafted in a marked personal approach, evident through six tracks combining dubbed atmospheres, broken percussive patterns, and warm analog textures—a sonic expedition bridging his intimate roots with an advanced sense of dance.
