mother of Esau and Jacob, Salome, the mother of James and John, two

of Christ’s 12 disciples, and Mary, the mother of Jesus Himself? 

Rebekah and Salome often made the wrong decisions which no mother

should emulate. By contrast, Mary was a humble, courageous young

woman who inquired of the Lord, knew her purpose, knew God as her

Savior, and knew the Word of God.
