Good athletes make good goalies and Jeff Glass shares his story as a professional hockey goalie from being drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2004, to playing on Team Canada, and dealing with change early on. After being drafted, Jeff went over to play in the KHL and he shares how it helped his game immediately including his mentality. Fast forward to 32 years of age, Jeff touches on his first NHL game for the Chicago Blackhawks against Connor McDavid where he won the game with Patrick Kane getting the game winning goal. He was told about this first start at 2:30am the day before and shares what his mindset was at the time. Jeff shares fantastic advice for goalies including his biggest takeaway from the NHL and the goals he made after making it to the show. Jeff talks about how important it is to be a teammate first and how he deals with different pro goalie coaches. Pete and Jeff dive into how to train depending on the time of year and how important it is to have an open mind. Age old advice is dropped by Jeff around functional movement, training to be efficient and doing everything with a purpose while fielding intriguing questions from current hockey goalies.
