The people you have in your team matter a lot because having the wrong team member can lead to the downfall of the entire team. I've mentioned that people usually focus on knocking the weak link in a team however I believe that when you have a team, the cohesion between members should be so solid that trying to find the weak link will be difficult because everyone helps everyone. When you build such a team, trusting the team is a breeze. So to trust your team, you have to put in work and then you can trust that team.

Lesson 241: Rep Your Brand

The word brand might seem thrown around a lot these days but it isn't always for a negative reason. What we have to understand is that we all have tools to build the brands we want and it's up to you to decide what your brand is and how you are going to rep it. Lesson 240: Create Many Streams

We live in a time where it might be difficult to live the life you want on a single source of income so it's good to have more than one. It's up to you to decide how many streams of income you want, the amount of work you are wishing to put in but also you know what, it isn't for everyone. So if you are all good with a single stream of income, then awesome, but if not, consider other things you can do to bring in income. One thing though, understand your net worth isn't all that life is about.

Lesson 239: Dig Deeper

There are things we can do at any given time. We can wake up at 3 in the morning and get it done, easy. However, there are other things that will take almost everything we have to achieve. In fact, we might have to dig deeper to achieve it. Those are the things I'm talking about there. When you believe you've exhausted your tank, take a moment, breathe and then push. It might shock you how much you have left if you just dig deeper.

Lesson 238: Data Can Be Cooked 

I'm going to guess that you've seen a heist movie. There's almost always a scene where the CCTV is tampered with and the security gets to watch something on the screen but that's not what's actually happening. Data is beautiful but data can be tampered with so do not just take things at face value. Find out as much as you can and always check your data.

Lesson 237: Check The Gate

"Check The Gate" is a filmmaking term basically meaning check that the film gate doesn't have any obstruction because we love this take and want to make sure there wasn't any shit on the lens when we shot that. However, these days film is rarely used so even though the term is still used, it means to make sure the data is on the card. If you shoot and there was some mess on the card, that is not a very good thing. Nope! We should check our files from time to time and good practice, back things up.

Lesson 236: Enjoy The Rain

In life, it will rain, meaning shit will happen. We all know shit usually happens when we least expect it to happen. What we need to do is learn to enjoy the rain. I find that when shit happens, it means I am actually doing something. I am actually working on something and if I wasn't then shit wouldn't have happened. Focus on the positive and learn to enjoy the rain because it will surely come.

Lesson 235: Replace "Have To" with "Get To"

We sometimes complain over the smallest things when we should be grateful that we are alive and get to experience these things. The key is to alter your mindset. Rather than seeing that you "have to" go to work, you see it as you "get to" go to work. With just a tiny switch, you have a brand new outlook on life. No, you don't have to do that thing, you get to do it and that's super awesome, don't you think?

In life, we have things we love but we also have some trash in our lives too. We need to be comfortable with throwing away the trash because if we don't we will get overwhelmed. The less trash we carry, the easier our lives get.

Lesson 233: Everyone Has Something To Say

Right now anyone can say anything and broadcast it to a ton of people with one click. It's cool but it's also super dangerous. Rather than focus on that, we should focus on what matters to us. We don't have to read every tweet or even worse, reply to them. Understand this, most people stay behind their screens and spew things they might actually mean but can't say in person. Do yourself a favour and see them for what they are, noise. Do you like noise? Exactly.
