Lesson 261: One Word Can Mean Many Things
We all know how a word can have many meanings. I recall watching a film and the boss tells one of their underlings to take care of a rival. Well, the underling kills the rival and when the boss asks what happened, the underling said, you told me to take care of them and the boss goes, I said to take care of them not "take care of them". One phrase but two very different meanings. When you are talking to people, make sure they understand what you are saying.
PROMPT: How do you ensure you understand what they are saying?

Lesson 260: Important > Urgent
Important > Urgent. There are things that might pull your attention and ask you to solve the issue, now, right now but they might not be important at all. It is a good idea to sort things by their level of importance and then work through that list. Sure you might have to delegate some and skip some but you won't be pulled into doing urgent things when you could be doing important things.
PROMPT: What important things are you working on? What urgent things did you skip to work on the former?

Lesson 259: It's Ok To Scream
I'm all for being calm but there are times you have to let it out and scream.
PROMPT: When was the last time you screamed? Why?

Lesson 258: Share Your Creations
We create stuff. We might not like them but to get better, you have to be comfortable with sharing your creations. Understand this: not everyone will like it and that's fine. However, when you wade through the feedback, you can pick the ones that will help you make subsequent creations better.
PROMPT: What was the last creation you shared?

Lesson 257: Be Tactful When Sharing Difficult Things
When you have to share difficult things, you might want to ease in and that's a very good idea. However, you should try to make sure you don't mince your words. I usually start by learning as much as I can about the person. This knowledge will guide me on the best path to share the difficult thing I have to share with them. They have to hear the news and it is your responsibility to make sure you give them the news as calmly and succinctly as possible.
PROMPT: How do you say difficult things?

Lesson 256: Understand Their Trouble
To get the best out of your teammates, you should make sure you know what their troubles are. Now, this isn't easy because people rarely just share what troubles they are facing. However, if you create an atmosphere where everyone knows they can speak up and they will be heard, you are a whole lot closer to knowing what they might be facing. Once you know their troubles, put things in place to solve them.
PROMPT: How do you get them to share their troubles?

Lesson 255: Know The Exit
If you enter a building know where the exits are. In the same vein, whenever you do anything, make sure that you know where and when you are going to check out. If you don't have an exit plan, you might stay stuck in a place you never ever want to be. That's a bad place to be.
PROMPT: What is your exit plan?

Lesson 254: It Isn't Always White And Black
Life would be a lot easier if things were black or white but as you navigate this planet, you find out that life is more grey than either of the two previous colours. There are times we have to do things we aren't really fans of but for a good reason and there are times things that we do with great intentions might end up being super negative. Life is grey.
PROMPT: Is it always black and white to you? Why?

Lesson 253: Perfect Is A Trap
I am lucky as I've never been a fan of perfect. I just want to finish it and once it's done, I can tweak it and build on it. I learned early on that if I am for perfect, no matter how awesome whatever it is I create might be, I'll never be satisfied. I'll feel like something is missing or something isn't as good as it should or could be. Perfection is a trap. Do your work and then build on the finished version.
PROMPT: Are you a fan of perfection? Why?

Lesson 252: Vote
There's an election coming up. There was the other election. There are times we feel our vote doesn't matter but you know what? It does. If you want to get your voice heard, go ahead and vote. Register, check out the candidates, and then place your vote. Every vote counts.
PROMPT: When was the last time you voted?
