“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). Our mission is to re-present Jesus Christ to the world. Present the good news – the Gospel. The message of salvation is called light because our Savior is the light. 2 Cor 4 We are to shine the light of the Gospel, the glory of Christ, the image of God. “For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord…For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor 4:5-6).
