  • 2.E6: race/racism x mental health
Racism is quite insidious and its effects are far-reaching, it's no surprise that it impacts mental health. This was recorded a couple months ago and with this episode's guest host, Danielle, an attempt is made to cover what effects racism can have on mental health and we share our own experiences. This is a big topic that I feel while we covered many different aspects, they were only slightly touched on. I will mostly likely continue to cover this in the future, from different angles, different perspectives, and different races. There is so much to say! And much to be done too.

  • 2.E3: not more covid-19 content
hello again! during this time it's important to monitor how much information you take in regarding this new virus so here is an overview of what I'll be discussing so you can decide if this is something you're in the mental space to listen to:
*how we can slow down the spread of covid-19
*covid-19 and maintaining your mental health
*your favourite (let me live) host's thoughts and experiences during this time
It's okay if you feel inundated with coronavirus content and step away from this episode. The major takeaways are: wash your hands, stay home, don't stockpile TP, be kind to each other, and be kind to yourself <3
Disclaimer: the information I passed on here is from my own research reading articles. It is accurate to the best of my knowledge, but I encourage you to double check/fact check! This podcast is not a substitute for consulting with a mental health professional.

If you're like me and lowkey obsessed with this show, definitely connect on social media :) who's your favourite couple? I love Lauren & Cameron the most.

  • 2.E1: goal-setting & procrastination
a quick n tidy episode to get back in the flow of things! First known use of the SMART term is by George Doran in Nov 1981 but has been modified and worked on by many different authors since then. My notes on procrastination come from lecture from one of my favourite psych profs, Dr. Moscicki. Her passion for both psychology and teaching is inspiring.
