As we have said in previous episodes, when you think big you will live big.  It is absolutely essential that you are constantly framing your mind with successful thoughts.  You must see into the future and allow your mind to bridge the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be in the future.

The success attitude tells us that we must be relentless in our thoughts.  We must shape our daily lives so that we are constantly reminded of our goals and dreams.  We must wake up and go to bed thinking about what we want to achieve so that our minds will constantly be thinking of our new reality instead of focusing on the complaints of the day.

We have an obligation to ourselves to do the best we can all times.  When you keep yourself motivated and focused on your positive future, you will end up doing things that improve your life instead of making it worse.  You will complain less and do more.  You will gain better relationships and a greater outlook on life.  In other words, your life will get way better!

Our minds control our actions, so if you're thinking small, you're acting small! In this episode, I challenge you to think bigger, believe in yourself, and do the things that you need to do in order to LIVE BIG!

It is absolutely amazing to me how little people pay attention to the power of the influence they have every single day.  Parents are constantly influencing their children.  Husbands are constantly influencing their wives.  Friends are constantly influencing their other friends.  

The power of influence is everywhere around us.  We are influencing people, and we are being influenced.  Everywhere we go messages are being transmitted which are either ignored or followed, for better or worse!  When you understand the power of influence, you can actually leverage it to make your world a much better place.

One thing I can tell you is that human beings will always surprise you when you least expect it.  Just when you think somebody is going to behave a certain way, they pop up and turn things around for themselves much to your delight!

That is the main point behind this episode.  In it, you will hear the story of a monk who never gave up on one of his students when the rest of the class was ready to leave because of his bad behavior.  It teaches us that we should not give up on one another and that we must play a positive role in the lives of those all around us!

Let me be clear and say that I am not advocating for you to tolerate bad behavior.  I am also not even remotely thinking that you should accept abuse in any form.  What I am saying, however, is that if you are in a position to help someone, then you should do so actively and intentionally for as long as you can possibly manage it.  When you do, the world and those around you become amazingly better.

This short story about two frogs falling in a pit is a great reminder to ignore your haters and keep pushing for your dreams. Not everyone is going to be your fan, but if you act like the second frog in this story, you'll come out on top!

Did you know that baby elephants are controlled by a tiny piece of string or rope?  Just imagine a massive elephant being tied up by a small piece of string and never even trying to escape. Can you picture this massive animal this way?

Unfortunately, many people are controlled in this same manner even today.  So many of us were told that we couldn't do something as children and now we are moving into adulthood thinking the exact same thing.  We are being controlled by our past which is the smallest of strings that you can possibly imagine and yet we still do not break them!

My singular goal in this episode is to provide you purpose and motivation so that you can move into your best life.  I want you to snap that rope and do something utterly amazing today, right now that will impact the rest of your life!

If you have ever woken up and wanted to go right back to bed, I completely understand what that is like a nine know how much time can be wasted!  I also know that a lot of times our own insecurity is what keeps us paralyzed and in that bed.  I also know that we have the power to change that mindset and get back into living our lives.

To be a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, you have to have high levels of resilience and intestinal fortitude.  They will have you jumping out of your seat and grabbing your stomach because of the anxiety!  In other words, they are so good and yet do things that drive you absolutely crazy.  I guess maybe that's part of being a fan, but it can certainly create some problems for your emotional state if you're not careful.

All jokes aside, there are people that allow these types of things to get them truly upset.  Just imagine someone that loves a team so much that they will be awful to their friends and family because a team lost.  Does that make sense to you?  Are they a member of the team?  Are they on the roster?  Of course not, so why would they let that bother them so much?

Setting clear expectations and being intentional can create a much more fulfilling life.  In this episode we talk about strategies that you can use to avoid the emotional pitfalls of things that really don't matter all that much.  Give it a listen and see where you can improve with your emotional consistency regardless of the events you are viewing.

Being married for 50 years used to be fairly common.  Now we celebrate it as some kind of unique milestone that only the few among us can never achieve.  There used to be a time when you would it work for a company for 30 or 40 years, and then drift off into retirement with the pension for the rest of your life.  People used to go to the same church for their entire life, but that's not what we see today.

Where did our level of commitment go?  We give a vow on the altar, only to be divorced a few years later.  We tell the interviewer we want to grow roots in a company and then leave six months later.  Some of us even raise our right hands only to find a way out before the end of our contract.  Things have definitely changed over the last few decades but I still believe there is incredible value in commitment.
