  • Business BLAB - Reframing Mindset Around Productivity

The theme for this month seems to be clear, we don’t need to put so much pressure on ourselves. The world is hard right now. Being a mom is hard right now. Owning a business is hard right now. And one of the things that we tend to use to measure our success in both business and motherhood is productivity. Raise your hand if your productivity has determined if you had a good or bad day based off of how many tasks were checked off your to-do list? It’s what we have been groomed to do. The more productive you are, the better partner, mom, entrepreneur you are. So, this week I want to talk about how we can reframe and redefine what productivity means to us. It is time to ditch the toxic ways of our past and move forward with those healthy expectations I keep talking about!

Remove Productivity From The Success Equation

Turn Your "To-Do List" Into A "Top 3 List"

Celebrate At The End Of Each Day

     Rework Your Time Block

Stop Watching What "She" Is Doing

How does productivity effect your life? What makes you feel like you've had the most productive day?  Let me know at [email protected]

Today she lives happily with her family in California and maintains her natural weight without counting calories or carbs. She’s on a mission to teach other women how to ditch the diet drama and create the lives they crave, unapologetically.

    Key Points From This Episode:

-The cycles we fall into through our upbringings

-How to think about losing weight in a healthy way and ditch the diets and negative feelings they come along with

  • Business BLAB - The Power Of Community

Lately, I’ve been very open about the struggles of momprenuership and how it can feel really alone, really isolating, and really hard. Not to mention in the middle of a global pandemic that takes away so much of our village and our social interactions. But, you shouldn't have to do the alone! A big reason why it is so hard to be a working mom is that so many people in your life will not understand. And, no fault to them, it can be tricky to find the type of connection you need when people just don’t get it… get you. I felt this hard when I was pregnant with my daughter, and so I created a community around what I needed! If you’re feeling alone, isolated, and like no one understands you, you just haven’t found your community yet. If you’re feeling like you have to choose between business and motherhood, and your dreams have to be put on hold because you’re a mom… .you just haven’t found the right resources and support yet. The power of the right community can change your life!

In the episode we talked about the things I knew I needed from a community:

    Vulnerability

    Support

    Like-Minded Women

    Education/Resources

Have you found your community yet? How does your community support you? Let me know at [email protected]

  • Business BLAB - Realistic Goal Setting
Today we are going to talk about goals… THE thing everyone is focusing on this time of year. How are your goal for 2022 looking? Have you set them? Do you have a plan to make them happen? Are you feeling overwhelmed and behind? I wanted to take some time in this episode to share how I’m approaching my 2022 goals… in the most realistic way possible.
If you tuned in to the last episode, you heard the news that Boss Ladies and Babies is adding a new baby to the family! And as exciting as that is, it has also derailed a lot of my normal habits for this time of year. I’ve been so sick, fatigued, and unmotivated that setting goals has been at the very bottom of my to do list… which if you know me is NOT how I roll. But, whether its pregnancy, pandemic fatigue, home or career changes, or just plain life that is making goal setting challenging for you this year, you are not alone… and you are not behind!
And if you’ve already got your goals set and are on track to crush this year, this episode can still help you reevaluate the plans you’ve made as you move forward! Here is how I'm setting realistic goals for 2022:
    Take your time
    Make the big picture smaller
Make the smaller picture even smaller
    Reflect on your why
Remember your goals aren’t in permanent marker
    Have a plan
Make yourself and your family a priority
Happy planning! Let me know what tips you are most excited to try. Send me an email at [email protected] and until next time, stay bossy

  • Business BLAB - Social Media Ghosted Us! How To Back Up Your Business

Yesterday will go down as the great Social Media apocalypse of 2021! Were you prepared? It's important to remember that we don't own our Social Media platforms, so having contingencies in place is going to be key to well rounded success… or, at the very least, less panic when a platform goes down! So here are some things you can do TODAY to prep you for the next time something like this happens… because it will happen again!

Build your email list! You've heard me talk about this before, and today is a perfect example of WHY we need one!

Create a killer lead magnet to grow your email list by offering a freebie or discount to your audience. Also, be sure to create a strategy around all of your content to funnel people to your email list.

Take to Twitter (and other platforms like clubhouse, youtube, linkedin and pinterest). Even FB and Instagram took to Twitter today to address the masses and share what is happening. It may not be your main platform, but it's a good idea to have an account on several other platforms just in case.

Grow real life connections in your community and outside of the digital world! Remember that eal people in the community need your product or services, too.

Schedule your content ahead of time. How good is it going to feel when we are back up and running and you have fresh content ready to go.

Create a Media and PR plan for your business. Appear on podcasts, guest speak at summits and other communities, submit content to large blogs, get your name in front of new people and get exposure anyway you can.

Check out my NEW COURSE The Systemized Social Media Shake Up, which covers all these tips and more around how to make a Social Media strategy that works for your life and business! https://bossladiesandbabies.regfox.com/the-systemized-social-media-shake-up

How did you survive the outage? Were you freaking out? Did you have a backup plan? Take the day off? Let me know at [email protected]
