Let’s talk about money… and specifically the things that make it hard for us to talk about. As I’m writing this, I’m looking forward to a training today inside the mastermind I’m part of from a money mindset coach. To be honest with you, money mindset and blocks is something that I struggle with on a regular basis. But, the last several months I have made a concerted effort to work through these blocks and try to get my mindset right when it comes to money. I also have spent some time exploring the money mindset of my ideal clients so that I can be empathetic and understand any objections that come up around what I have to offer. There is just so much weight that comes along with the thoughts of money, and I think it so interesting to dive in and understand where it all is coming from. Now, I am by NO MEANS a finance girly. I loathe math, numbers are hard, and I’m the one who is thanking the lord that what our teachers use to tell us about “never having calculator in our pockets” isn’t actually the case. BUT, I do realize that in order to have a successful, sustainable, and scaling business… you need to know YOUR numbers! This time of year finances are likely top of mind with tax time + already putting a quarter of the year behind us. You likely set some financial goals at the beginning of the year, and the start of a new quarter is a really great time to circle back to that and take a pulse check. So I thought now was a great time to chat about this topic! Here is how I run my numbers for my business so that I can know what’s happening and treat my business like what it is… a real business! And again, if you’re wanting a profesh to cover this with you I’d recommend talking with a financial expert! This is just how I do things and it has worked great for me!

We’ve been talking a lot about feeling empowered as women this month. As we round out Women’s History Month I wanted to take some time to think about how we can feel super empowered in our businesses, too! As female founders, running your business and being a CEO is a pretty awesome position. We have a lot of power, even if we don’t realize or reflect on it often. We can get so use to the grind that we forget how badass we really are, so I think it’s important that we take some time to celebrate this and remember that we are amazing!
