In today's episode, we'll be looking at something spoken to Queen Esther that is just so encouraging for her, and for our lives as well. Here's the verse we'll be talking about,
"14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (Es 4:14). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

10 For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (Ezr 7:10). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

Today we're going to be talking about one of my favorite verses. I love this verse and I think you will as well. It's 2 Chronicles 16:9. It says this
9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (2 Ch 16:9). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

In today's episode we're going to be reading about Naaman the Syrian. A commander of the Syrian army who happens to have a skin disease. It's a powerful story of love, forgiveness, faith, and trust. The verse that I talk about is 2 Kings 5:1. Here's what it says,
Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (2 Ki 5:1). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
There is a powerful connection here to where Jesus speaks about this story one day in the synagogue. I hope you enjoy!

In today's episode I'm going to be talking about an amazing story about the prophet Elijah and a widow. What makes this story so powerful for me is how Jesus talks about it in the synagogue, hundreds of years later. The verse is 1 Kings 17:9. Here's what it says,
“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you.”
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (1 Ki 17:9). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
I hope you enjoy!

In today's episode we'll be talking about 2 Samuel 7:16, the Davidic Covenant (the covenant God makes with David). Here's what the verse says,
"And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever." The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (2 Sa 7:16). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
This verse locks down David's lineage as lasting forever, and guess who is in David's lineage? You guessed it...Jesus! I hope you enjoy!
