  • Shattering Stigma, Standing as a Voice For Compassion with: Jonathan Niziol

I want to engage in conversation with you about the mental fortitude

you must exhibit once life’s adversities descend upon you.  Will you have the vision necessary to persevere
through turbulent times? Will you receive permission to climb the mountain of redemption.
To bring some statistical evidence to the table consider these numbers from the
    Anxiety  and Depression Association of
    America:

To provide some human context to our discussion I want to share

      the inspirational story of  Jonathan
      Niziol.

At 41 years old, Jonathan is ready to shed

light on global issues affecting men and share his unique life story for a
greater purpose. After a idyllic childhood on a Canadian farm, his world turned
upside down when his mother passed away tragically on his 21st birthday. What
should have been a flourishing career as a lacrosse player spiraled into years
of alcohol addiction, culminating in a near-death hospital stay at age 25. This
wake-up call prompted him to rebuild his physical and mental health and find ways
to cope with his mother's loss.

Motivated by his mother's modeling legacy, Jonathan embarked on a

modeling career while battling his own demons. Perfectionism led him to body
dysmorphia and a serious eating disorder. He also faced a traumatic sexual
assault, the loss of friends, and crippling depression and anxiety, leading to
drug addiction as a coping mechanism. In 2017, he sought therapy, breaking free
from his addictions after 15 years.

Today, Jonathan is a successful international model with previous and

representation in 8 states and various countries from South Africa to the UK,
shooting for global brands such as Men's Health Editorial, Hugo Boss and Jockey
Underwear. Additionally he is a fitness role model, real estate investor, and a
supportive friend. He aims to share his personal struggles, offering tools and
strength for others to overcome their own battles. His journey is a beacon of
hope, showcasing resilience and transformation against all odds.  He joined me this week to tell me more.

    • AtlasTalked is a Marketplace for Heavy Conversations with: Jeremy Evans

According to a study by the National Institute of Mental

Health, 72% of entrepreneurs are directly or indirectly affected by
mental health issues compared to just 48% of non entrepreneurs. 49% of entrepreneurs deal with mental health issues
directly while only 32% of others experienced them.

Jeremy Evans owns and runs Thrice

Agency, a marketing firm, as well as providing entrepreneurship coaching for
hundreds of small business owners. Like any marketer worth his salt, he's
generated millions for his clients and employs psychology daily. But psychology
may not be enough to explain the global rise in mental illness. So Jeremy's
founded the world's first marketplace for peer support. The goal is to
incentivize people to talk about the heavy stuff and to prove that you're not
      alone.

      ” I was pre-med in college. Typical

premed student, studying hard and playing hard, until I woke up at 22. I had
applied to just one medical school after an elaborate scheme. My girlfriend, a
ballerina, was locked in place with her job, so I infiltrated a ritzy gala
where I was selling $50 glasses of champaign. I found my target, the president
of the medical school, and after the music was over, I got a private interview
with him. I got all the way to the dotted lines, looking at those APRs. 16.9%.
I remembered the 100 doctors I had worked with: they didn't even like their
work. Then my future wife got fired. She needed to move to keep dancing. I
stopped dancing and shut myself up in an unfinished Florida attic for a week.
She was jet-setting to audition after audition while I was sweating, fasting,
and crying like a baby. I didn't want to be a doctor. I wanted to help people.
Lots of people. That's all I cared about. I was not some Randian psychopath. I
was predominantly concerned about the poor and believed everyone would be rich
if it weren't for greedy corporations. Until I had a vision”.

      AtlasTalked

is a marketplace for heavy conversations. It's a network for those looking for
or to provide one-on-one peer support, the first of its kind.

Our providers ("Friends") are not professionals,
just people like you. We talk about anything we like: from addiction and
      divorce to religion and spirituality.

The platform is free to use, with a simple 20% commission on
any transactions. We're growing a community of empathic, loving people to share
their talents in a way they never have before. He joined me this week to

    • Going Dry: My Path to Overcoming Habitual Drinking with: Sean Robinson

The choices we make in life have a fundamental

impact on the description of the person we want to be. But here is the good news,
we have autonomy to make those decisions, choices and moments in our life count
for something if we are committed to reaching and sustaining our peak potential.  Vices can have a grip on this process.  In particular alcoholism can place a firm
stranglehold on inching forward in life. According to Statistics Canada, nearly
6 million Canadians aged 12 and over report heavy drinking at least once a
month. One in 5 Canadians aged 15+ met the criteria for “alcohol abuse or
      dependence” over their lifetime.

      Sean

Robinson is an Author, Speaker and Motivator who focuses on self-improvement,
mindset shifting and habit forming. He works in the construction industry, is a
volunteer firefighter. and lives with his wife & three children in Ontario,
Canada. Going Dry: My Path to Overcoming Habitual Drinking is his first book.

      He’s an

Electrician, have worked in the construction sector for almost my whole life. I
started on a volunteer fire department in '03. Male dominance and toxic
masculinity have been everywhere around me and expected of me constantly.

      What if I

don't want to participate, what if I decide to be different? Other than having
the job sites best (and worst) artists plastering your caricature and sexual
preferences (correct or not) on every lunch table and porta potty, its just
easier to play the game or not say anything. Unfortunately, you may not have
any friends and you get laid off because nobody likes you. On to the next job I
      guess.

      It is time

for the sector to be better. Anyone in the industry will tell you that there
are some very prehistoric rules, both written and unwritten and that "it's
      always been this way."

      Recently I

decided to take a break from drinking alcohol. When everyone around me stopped
laughing, asked me what my problem was, accused me of judging them for still
drinking and then added my picture to the previously mentioned porta potty
wall, I only had to get out of my own head.

      This is

      much harder than we think.

      Out of

sight from my peers and far enough from the lunch trailer, I decided to open my
mind up to the world of self-help and betterment. So many things that were not
for the man I was and the man I was expected to me because of my social
circles. I could never admit to trying journaling, listening to self-help books
or podcasts. Reading, are you kidding me? Not only did I do all of these things
AND LOVE THEM but I wrote my own book about my journey to not drink alcohol. My
book Going Dry - My Path to Overcoming Habitual Drinking has been a life
changer. I hope it will change your life too.

      Construction

and Firefighting, as well as many other male dominant roles, need to evolve a
bit. Let's get the word out and let's tell these big tough burly men that they
relax a little, appreciate some self-improvement, maybe a little Brene Brown or
Mel Robbins and not end up on the wall in the bathroom.

      There have

been some amazing women in construction and firefighting as well. However, you
identify, this is for all of us.

      My wife and

kids deserved better from me. He joined me this week to tell me more.

    • Lee Maasen: "I Stand as a Testament to the Transformative Power of Fitness"

Raising your level of frequency in life to maximize the

potential of your example  is tied to the
level of commitment  your willing to
place behind any endeavor in life.  However, when it comes to our body image and fitness
journey, our level of apprehension can often be high. The Mental Health
Foundation says One in five adults (20%) felt shame, just over one-third (34%)
felt down or low, and 19% felt disgusted by their body image in the last year.
Among teenagers, 37% felt upset, and 31% felt ashamed about their body image. Meanwhile,
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports Obesity in
the United States affects 100.1 million (41.9%) adults and 14.7 million
(19.7%) children and accounts for approximately $147 billion
      in annual health care costs.

      Lee Maasen, is  a

certified fitness trainer and accredited life coach on a mission to guide you
on a holistic journey towards your best self. I'm all about harnessing the
transformative power of fitness for self-growth, seeing it not just as a tool
for sculpting the body but as a key to cultivating a resilient mindset and
unlocking your full potential. My coaching philosophy is rooted in the
connection between physical and mental well-being, going beyond workout
routines to explore the psychology of motivation, goal-setting, and the
holistic integration of nutrition and mindfulness. Through workshops,
one-on-one coaching, and motivational speaking, I'm here to inspire you to
embrace the transformative potential within yourself, creating lasting change
      in both body and mind.

“In the wake of my brother's tragic

murder and the subsequent loss of a full baseball scholarship, I found myself
in a cycle of dead-end jobs, struggling against life's adversities. However,
amidst the darkness, I discovered a beacon of resilience in fitness. What began
as a physical outlet transformed into a sanctuary where I confronted grief and
doubt. The weightlifting sessions not only sculpted my body but also sharpened
my mental resilience. Each rep became a metaphor for overcoming life's
challenges. The discipline of fitness seeped into every aspect of my life,
turning dead-end jobs into stepping stones towards self-belief and
perseverance. Today, I stand as a testament to the transformative power of
fitness—a journey from tragedy to triumph, where every workout became a step
towards rebuilding my spirit and rewriting my narrative”

    • Flip Lok – The #1 Security Device for Schools, Homes & Offices with: Anna Reger

      Parents across America remain on

heightened  alert as it relates to their kid’s
safety when they send them to school.  Parents of school-aged children in the U.S.
remain more apprehensive than usual about their child’s physical safety at
school, as 38% say they fear for their child’s safety. Although this is down
slightly from the 44% measured last year in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas,
school shooting, it is one of the highest readings in Gallup’s trend that dates
back to 1977. The historical high, 55%, was measured immediately after the 1999
Columbine High School shooting, in which two students killed 12 students and a
      teacher before committing suicide.

      According to Gallup News While

parental concern is lower this year than last year, the 38% currently
expressing fear exceeds what Gallup measured after the 2006 Amish schoolhouse
shooting in Pennsylvania, the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre in Connecticut, and the
2018 Parkland High School shooting in Florida.

      Furthermore, One in Seven Parents

Say their Child Has Expressed Fear About School Safety A separate question in
the survey aims to measure schoolchildren’s safety concerns, by asking parents
to report whether any of their children have expressed worry about feeling
unsafe at school. Fourteen percent of parents currently say their child has.
This figure is down from 20% last year, which was one of the highest
percentages in Gallup’s trend dating back to 1999.

Anna Reger is a champion of women,

children and community. She's a mother (to six children, stepchildren), wife,

    • The Proof is in the Progress with: Philip James

One of the keys to self improvement in

life from a personal and societal perspective is your commitment to yourself. According
to transformational coach and fitness enthusiast Philip James:

“I am a True believer that we all are

the authors of our life and its up to us to write the greatest story ever told!
I’m 35 years young married to my beautiful wife and we have a 2 1/2 year old
son together. Most people live an ordinary life due to lack of leaders speaking
on possibility, creation and truly living it! We are a thriving Family unit
because of brutal honesty and truth.

       I

started my initial career at 19 as a hair stylist working in Beverly Hills CA
and New York ...working with celebrities , fashion moguls , Television and Film
( through this I met some of the top people, in their respected industry's
sharing sometimes hours , gaining insight and perspective into their personal
life realizing more often than not they were experiencing outside pleasure
without internal love ) making them feel good about their hair was temporary
and the outside validation would fade fast , something I experienced all too
      often .

It wasn't until my wife and I had our

son that I realized I was pleasure seeking to escape my current reality as
often as I could diving into alcohol and other vices. I hit a hard reality with
truth and realized I needed to be more for my wife, son and people, around me.
There is a need right now for men and husbands to take accountability to live a
purposeful life over a pleasure seeking life. It all starts within; our life is
a mirror and not a window. How we view ourselves is how we view the world, and
we must be a net positive if we are to see real change in the world. The real
