  • Creating an Unbreakable You with: Thomas Guillen

Personal accountability is a personal investment in choice

we all have, the capability and wherewithal to determine which direction we
want our lives to go.  Regardless of the socioeconomic
circumstances we arise from. We have a personal responsibility to make the best
of our personal circumstances.  No one
knows this better than Thomas Guillen. He is a U.S. Army veteran and the CEO of
@trainedbytee. He now spends his days as a health and fitness coach focused on
    personal development and accountability.

“A mindset learned through military, bodybuilding and

fatherhood has allowed me to cultivate a daily program that has saved me
through the darkest of times. With a vision to impact a million lives I share
life experiences and how to overcome the most ordinary problems that are sent
to derail individuals from their true higher calling. Preaching sobriety,
consistency and discipline are the fundamentals of my approach to helping you
tap into a mindset that will keep you strong in the darkest of times. Too often
men and women in this world give their self an escape through substance abuse
to not pursue becoming a person they admire. Strength is built through
restraint. Adhering to a daily program which includes physical activity,
nutrition and purpose driven action are going to be the corners stones of your
success. Unraveling universal laws will allow the people to recognize this
message is not fabricated, but rather sent from above.” He joined me this week,
    to tell me more.

  • Helping People Cultivate Courage to Step Beyond Imagined Possibilities with: Dana Shamas

    Are you someone

    who is using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning;
instinctive. If so, you should take some time to engage in conversation with Dana
    Shamas.

    “I help support leaders

discover their unique circuitry so they can trust their authentic voice and
lead with intuition to create a deeper impact in the world. As humans, we have
capabilities far beyond what we currently believe in ourselves or have experienced
to date. I love facilitating embodied experiences that help individuals and
leaders reach their full potential. I am on a mission to support conscious
leaders to break free of old structures that no longer serve and reimagine
their personal and professional life with deeper joy and fulfillment.

As an Executive Leadership & Wellness Coach, I excel in
teaching people how to effectively tap into their emotions and sensitivities so
they can use them to direct their energy toward positive change and outcomes. I
work at the individual, group, and corporate levels delivering training and
workshops that leverage leading-edge mind-body techniques combined with
leadership, motivational, emotional intelligence, and performance coaching.

I have 10+ years of experience partnering with and training
entrepreneurs, business owners, and senior executives to help them move beyond
their emotional comfort zones while holding them accountable for personal
growth, ultimately impacting their business success. I do this by creating safe
spaces of acceptance, which opens people up to more creative problem-solving,
new frameworks, and broader possibilities they may not have had access to
before. I serve as a guide, providing the road map and tools to forge a new
    path.

My origin story includes work as a Wall Street financial
analyst and then as a business consultant helping multiple startup founders in
the health and wellness space raise funding, launch products, and double sales.
I then founded and scaled my own private yoga studio where I’ve successfully
maintained a 50-90% client retention rate over 8 years.

Clients working with me can expect to learn how to better:
    • Manage their energy.
    • Access and trust their intuition
    • Connect to and use emotions proactively.
    • Value their purpose.
    • Express themselves more fully in the world.

  • Eduardo Rodriguez is still a Tiger Did Scott Harris Fail to Deliver?

"It's nothing against the Dodgers or the West Coast or

whatever. It's just about the details to go out there and where my family is.
My future is where they're happy and I'm happy and that's why I decided to stay
here. It has nothing to do with the Dodgers," Eduardo
Rodriguez said about why he remained with the Detroit Tigers.  With this said the next question is did Scott
Harris the Tigers President of Baseball Operations drop the proverbial ball in delivering
elite prospects from the Los Angeles Dodgers after Rodriguez nixed a trade
deadline deal which would’ve seen Rodriguez finish out the final two months of
the season in Tinseltown?  Its one of my first
questions I posed to Jake Riepma Sports
Talk Show Host and producer from 97.1 the Ticket when I caught up with him this
week to review the Tigers Trade Deadline activity or lack, they’re of. He
joined me this week, to tell me more.

  • Helping Oilfield Professionals Overcome Uncertainties about their Financial Future with Chad Hufford

Rutgers University says values affect career

decisions, how you spend your time, and how you handle money. A value is a force within
people that strongly directs their life. Each person places his or her own
worth on values such as family, job success, health, love, comfort, friendship,
    skills, and education.

    Born

and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Chad Hufford grew up in the financial
industry, but also developed a strong background in athletics, nutrition, and
performance psychology. Chad brings a coaching mindset and the heart of a
teacher to financial planning and investing as he strives to both empower and educate
people to not only become better investors, but to live more intentionally and
    create an abundant life.
    Chad owns a
boutique financial planning firm, Veritas Wealth Management, that manages $500
million and serves several hundred families across the US. In addition to
finance, he regularly teaches and speaks on fitness and faith, seeing these as
all important aspects of a purposeful and abundant life.

    Chad and his wife,
Tiffany (also a life-long Alaskan), have been blessed with six wonderful
children. Tiffany stays busy homeschooling the kids, and the whole family is
very involved in their church and local community.

    Their family loves
fishing, camping (okay, maybe more like “glamping”), hunting, and enjoying the
wonderful outdoors Alaska has to offer. Living in a more rural area outside of
Anchorage, and just few hundred yards from the home Chad grew up in, they
regularly have the privilege of watching bears, moose, and lynx walk right through
    their yard.

    Believing that to
whom much is given, much is expected, Chad strives to employ his knowledge and
experience to serve and enrich the lives of those around him.  He joined me this week to tell me more.

  • Finding a Political Middle in America with Radell Lewis

    The trust in American government

is waning  amongst the American people according
to a new report published by the Pew Research Center.  It revealed only 24% of people have confidence
in the direction of the government and confidence of the system overall.   Which is why its important to have non-bias
conversations about the future of American politics.  Radell Lewis is the host of the  Purple Political Breakdown Podcast.  “I created my podcast on the grounds that I wanted to focus on political,
social, and cultural solutions without political bias effecting our minds. I
look at conversations with realism and logic. There is always nuance and
solutions to be found if you have some solid perspective. “He joined me this

  • Empowering People with Writing with: David Payne

As a writer you have the creative freedom to explore

the avenues of your imagination which bring you the most joy. You can choose
the niche that matches your preferences, from technical writing to creative
writing. Job growth: According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics
(BLS), the employment of writers and authors may grow 4% from 2021 to
2031, which is similar to the average growth for all
occupations. With the support of his partner and children, writer
David Payne has been creating stories daily since late 2021. He participates
ferociously in Stories on Fire and National Novel Writing Month. His first
published story, "Wraith and Specter" appeared in Future's Lens (Jan
2023). "Escape and Transform" appeared in Reality's Lens (May 2023).

David writes the story that inspires him in the moment, though he tends

to settle into speculative fiction. On stream, he writes each day both as a
form of accountability and to inspire others to the craft. His focus is
entirely on getting the words on the page and letting the editing table sort
    out the details later.

He's played many different table-top RPGs over the years and has

interests in game theory from Poker to Magic the Gathering. To relax, he'll
fire up a game of Dwarf Fortress. He likes to joke that if a game was created
more recently than a decade ago, he isn't really interested, but the truth is
he likes retro-style and turn-based games.

Professionally, David is a technical writer and has been a part of the

field for over twenty years. He's also presented at Write-the-Docs and the
    Society of Technical Communication's Summit.

  • A Conversation about racialized Children, Disabilities, and Inclusion

Carving a pathway of inclusion means that the promise of

possibilities are realized by many and the diversity of thought is celebrated as
a strength.  However, for children with
disabilities, and racialized children this pathway towards inclusion and
acceptance isn’t always realized as easy as we all might hope. Therefore, in
the 5th and final episode of Inclusive Beginnings  we’ll take a deeper dive and a closer look at
the experience of racialized children and their fight for educational
    excellence and equality.  Contributing
their voices to this conversation are  Negin Zarifian and Kathryn Underwood. Zarifian
is a Professional Learning Consultant Affiliated Services For Children and
Youth (ASCY) and Kathryn serves as the project director for the IECSS project
at large and a Professor, School of Early Childhood Studies Dimensions Faculty
Lead, Faculty of Community Services  at Toronto
Metropolitan University. Our discussion centered around the experiences of
black and racialized children and their families as they work to navigate the
educational system and furthermore how their lives may look beyond their time
    within the school system.

  • Episode 4 The Black Experience

Closing the equity gap for children with disabilities

remains a thorny challenge. One where more conversations and tangible action
need to be taken. Its under this lens I present to you the 4th episode
of Inclusive Beginnings. Where we’ll examine the treatment of black children and
their experiences navigating service delivery within the educational system.   Adding their voices to this conversation are
Christopher Rudder who serves as the only black male resource consultant in the
city of Toronto. Rudder discussed how to close the inequities experienced by
black children and families with disabilities, improving racial relations and
more. Meanwhile, Nerissa Hutchinson is a child and youth practitioner and therapist
who has a daughter with a disability. Both bring a critically important and insightful
angle to this noteworthy conversation.  As
we all look to ensure black children with disabilities have equal access to and
    equitable education.

Resiliency is the answer to the test when adversity strikes. It

“I’m a full-time personal trainer and online coach,

I’ve been voted as one of the tops in my community. I have a degree in
Kinesiology, and a unique story of overcoming hardship

    killed.

    I was 16 years old
when I decided to change my life for good … I had already been arrested many
times, most notably for stabbing, drug possession, and robbery

    My fitness journey
started in the youth detention centre when I was 15 and has lasted over a
decade - about 13 years in the making

    My story of
overcoming involved moving hundreds of miles away from my friends and family at
age 17 to pursue fitness & higher education wholeheartedly. My level of

the ones I teach in my coaching programs and through social media
