  • Helping Women Walk Into Their Purpose with: Shannon Rhodes

    Seven

in 10 U.S. adults are poised to set goals for themselves at the start of the
new year, with one-third telling Gallup they are “very likely” to do so and
    another 38% “somewhat likely.”

    “I know that when there’s a hunger

inside you, but you’re not sure what steps to take to fulfill that desire, it
can leave you feeling hopeless. And I understand what it feels like to know
there’s more in store for yourself but not know how to get there. I believe
it’s our right to pursue our dreams and become who we are meant to be, which is
why for years, I've been guiding women and helping them confidently step into
    their purpose.

    My name is Shannon

Rhodes, but most people know me as “Momma Rhodes.” I was born and currently
reside in the great state of Texas. So the concept of southern hospitality is
    in my blood.
I am a contributing author of a national best-selling book, and a founder and
CEO of two companies, Pure Rhodes and Convo with Momma Rhodes.

I have been married for over 25 years, and I have raised three strong,
intelligent, confident, and spiritual daughters (two are a set of twins). I
love to read, cook, travel, and learn new things. Most of my career has been in
Management and Training, and I have received many certifications in employee
    development.

My formal education is from the University of Texas at Austin, but the bulk of
my education is from many life experiences and several management training
    programs.
Through trial and error, I have developed a program that helps people recognize
their purpose and reach their fullest potential.
This program is tailored to each individual person because I believe everyone
on this earth has a unique purpose.”   She
joined me this week to tell me more.

  • Improving Gender Relations in the Workplace and Beyond with: Dr. David Smith

According to a recent survey performed by the

Pew Research Center, 42% of women in the United States claim that
they have faced some type of gender discrimination in the workplace. If a person
is treated worse than their colleagues or job applicants due to their sex or
gender, they face gender discrimination. Dr. David Smith is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University
Carey Business School, a gender, work and family researcher; author and speaker.
Through his research and experience leading diverse
organizations, he has established his value to organizations looking to improve
gender relations. Dr. Smith is known for facilitating challenging topics about
gender relations and brings this skill to his consulting, writing, and speaking.

A sociologist trained in social psychology, he focuses his
research in gender, work and family issues including allyship, cross-gender
mentoring relationships, gender bias, retention of women, dual career families,
military families, and military women. In his speaking, consulting and
teaching, he explores gender in leadership settings focusing on social science
research illuminating the difficulties women experience attaining and being
seen as effective leaders. Emphasis on gender and leadership styles, traits,
and effectiveness is integrated with domestic responsibilities and
organizational cultures and how they differently impact women and men. Dr.
Smith engages audiences and clients in challenging conversations about stereotypes,
prejudice, and discrimination that contribute to women’s under-representation
in elite leadership roles. As a practitioner, Dr. Smith provides evidence-based
best practices and strategies for promoting parity in top level leadership.

Dr. Smith is a frequent presenter on gender relations topics
and best practices in allyship and mentoring relationships, co-author of HBR

  • How to Reclaim Your Future from the Banks and Wall Street with Luke Tatum

According to a recent survey conducted by Standard &

Poor's, only 57% of U.S. adults are financially literate. This was measured by those exhibiting knowledge across the
following four basic financial concepts: risk diversification, numeracy,
    inflation, and compound interest.
Meanwhile according to CNBC 73% of Americans don’t regularly follow a
budget to manage their money.  Luke Tatum
is the “Bestselling author of Between the Lies: How to Reclaim Your Future from
    the Banks and Wall Street.”

” I help people escape the "rat race" by showing

them they can become their own banker. My company, Perfect Spiral Capital, is a
purely unconventional financial firm. My book, Between the Lies, directly
attacks the financial wisdom you hear repeated by virtually every financial
office from coast to coast. I live with my wife and son in the beautiful

  • Craig Andrews “I Can't Sell, so I Create Environments Where People Want to Buy"

Give your customers a reason to form an emotional connection

with your company. Good customer relationships are based on customer
experience—what it's like for people to do business with you. According to BDC
Client Experience Manager Chris Palin, that experience is all about how you
exceed customers' expectations. For Craig Andrews  “Six weeks of my life
    are missing.
I was in a drug-induced coma. And many folks thought I
    couldn’t hear them.

While the doctors continually spoke of my pending death, my
wife kept speaking life into me.

Eventually I woke up. I was terrified of the doctors. But my
trust in my wife was through the roof.

We send messages continually. They’re not delivered in words.
It’s our body language and tone of voice that sends the message. And only a
true sociopath can hide the unspoken language of sales.

People don’t want to be sold. So, they immediately raise
their guard when they detect that unspoken sales language. And it’s immediately
    harder to close the deal.

So, we quit trying to sell and focus on helping and serving
using a tool called a First-Time Offer (FTO). It’s too difficult to describe
the nuanced mechanisms in a few words. But the effects are clear.

Andrews is the Principal Ally and

founder of marketing agency allies4me. Using a proven method that mimics the
stages of courtship, allies4me helps companies find strangers and convert them
into high-paying customers. An eight-stage Customer Value Journey is the
framework that leads someone from first contact to post purchase.

An effective FTO builds trust rapidly. It creates an
environment where people want to buy. It moves the heavy lifting from the hands
of the salesperson and places it into the power of the offer.

One option is to double down on sales. But your prospects
will hear that unspoken language of sales. And they will smell like my doctors
who reeked of the stench of death.

We believe you should speak life and hope into your prospects
like my wife spoke into me.

And an effective First-Time Offer is that spring of hope that
gives comfort in the midst of weighty decisions. “ He joined me this
    week to tell me more.

  • Empowering Women Freelancers to Grow with Ease with: Maura Walters

    The

early years of any business is a crucial make-or-break period and most small
businesses agree mentors are vital to success. In a recent study published by
American Express it found 61 percent of
small business owners mentor others, and 58 percent specifically mentor younger
entrepreneurs. For Brand Strategist Maura Walters she is a copywriter,
content strategist, and business mentor for freelancers looking to turn their
craft into a profitable full-time business. After a decade in national media as
a magazine writer and editor, Maura officially launched her own business in 2020
and made more than six figures in her first year. Now, she's passionate about
helping freelancers build sustainable careers that they love —- without burning
out or worrying where the next paycheck is coming from.   “Many
freelancers get caught in the hamster wheel of constant burnout and worrying
where the next paycheck is coming from. I'm here to help them get out of the
feast-or-famine cycle FOR GOOD, and become the passionate, profitable business
    owners they’re meant to be.
I spent more than a decade freelance writing—feeling burnt
out from the constant hustle, panicking over the next assignment, and running
around like a chicken with my head cut off because I had zero professional
boundaries. In 2020 I decided to launch a copywriting and content strategy
business that supports female-founded brands (a.k.a. my dream clients) and made
more than six figures in my first year.

The moment I got clear on who my ideal clients are, took
control of my calendar, and started charging what I was worth, EVERYTHING
changed. Now I'm sharing everything you need to know to go from frantic

  • Without Restraint with Ryan and Robert DeLena

In a Study in the January 2022 issue of Child and Adolescent

Psychiatric Clinics of North America. The study found that, overall, 21.8 percent of U.S. children ages 3 to 17 have one or more of the
common mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions assessed. For
Ryan DeLena: “As a child, I had difficulty
controlling my emotions and was placed in therapeutic schools that relied on
detrimental methods of behavior modification such as physical restraint. Nothing
helped from a team of doctors to heavy medication. Then in 2010, I was
voluntarily committed to a mental hospital for further evaluation. My parents
Rob and Mary Beth were counseled to place me in a group home. They refused.
Two years earlier, after an impulsive decision to take my
skiing, my dad discovered a different child than the version experts were so
sure about. By my second day of skiing, I was executing advanced runs, and with
each conquest in the winters that followed, my dad began to question the path
laid by the professionals paid to judge me. He later convinced my mom to fight
the medical and educational complexes over my care and school placement, and
together they fostered the freedom I needed to pursue my dream of becoming a
    professional ski mountaineer.

Written in two voices, our book Without Restraint is a joint
father-son memoir told with both pain and levity, struggle and strength,
adventure and heart. It is the story of a misunderstood boy, a father’s growth,
and a shared love of the outdoors that formed their unbreakable bond.”  He joined me this week to tell me more.

  • Helping Women Lose Weight by Ending Their Dependence on Fad Diets with: Lisa Salisbury

    Nearly

    1 in 3 adults (30.7%) are overweight. · More than 1 in 3 men (34.1%) and more
    than 1 in 4 women (27.5%) are overweight. · More than 2 in 5 adults (42.4%,) according
to The  National Institute of health.  For  Certified Life Coach and Weight Coach Lisa Salisbury:
“Believe me, I get it. I’ve struggled with my weight
and body image most of my life. As a child, it was pointed out time and again
that I was “a little overweight” or that I still needed to “lose my baby fat”
when I was a preteen. In high school, a teacher told me I was overweight. I
don’t remember exactly how much I weighed, but probably around 135 pounds. But
I was standing next to my friend who probably wasn’t even 100 pounds, so of
    course, I felt enormous.

I brought home diet plans from school

(eat ½ cup cottage cheese and 2 tomatoes for breakfast, 3 ounces of turkey and
an apple for lunch. . .) and my parents did it with me. My swim coach in
college asked me to take off some extra body fat–I was plenty muscular, but
needed to “lean down.” He gave me vitamins to help with that.

All around I was getting the message that

I needed to be “just a little thinner.” But I loved food. And I didn’t know
anything about how to eat in proper proportions of macronutrients or even
proper portion sizes at all. Then I started having babies and breastfeeding and
my weight was a rollercoaster ride for the next 9 years.

I tried LOTS of plans–Herbalife, Slim fast,

South Beach Diet, calorie counting, Fast Metabolism, South Beach again (didn’t
that work the first time?), exercise really really hard and then you can eat
what you want. And my favorite of all–just throw your hands up and forget it.

Let me be honest–I was never obese. But I

always wanted to lose that last 10-15 pounds. I always thought if I could just
look better in my clothes, if I just didn’t have to worry about that back fat I
could wear what I wanted, if I could just look like (fill in the blank: my
sister, my friend, Jennifer Aniston. . .) then I wouldn’t have to worry about
    my weight.

Primarily my weight problem was a mental

problem. I consistently tried short term solutions. This diet. That diet. This
workout. That shake. These pills. But what I never addressed was what my brain
    was saying.

When I figured out that I can actually

LOVE my body as it is, and still want to improve it, my attitude changed. I
learned how to eat in a balanced way and still enjoy the food.

Do I have the perfect body yet? Yes, I

do! For me it is perfect. It is super healthy, I rarely get sick, it gets me
through every day and sleeps every night. My body has given life to 4 beautiful
and amazing children and has the energy to care for them every day. Does it
look like a fitness model? Certainly not. But I’ve learned it doesn’t have to.
I’m learning every day to appreciate all the amazing things my body can and
does do.”  She joined me this week to
    tell me more.

  • Tripping Over the Sales Process with: Dustin Bogle

Emotional selling is a sales management strategy that

focuses on a customer's emotional experience. It may relate to their feelings
that motivate them to purchase a product or service, or it may relate to
convincing them that a product or service may make them feel a certain way. Dustin Bogle is a sales expert that helps businesses to
harvest more sales from their leads using his "Fortune Follow Up"
    system.
He has a sales system that doesn't make you feel like a slimy
salesperson and shows you how to come from a place of serving.

Dustin has been an entrepreneur for 15 years and will help
your audience to solve their sales problems once and for all. Dustin has
a unique story. His family immigrated from Egypt in the 60s to chase the
American Dream. As a young adult, he got into Professional Wrestling (yes, the
elbow drop and dropkick kinda wrestling) where he learned how to sell tickets
    and organize a live event.
From there, Dustin went on to open 6 gyms in 6 years in
Southern California - the most competitive market in the industry.

That's where he was forced to really grow as a leader and
entrepreneur because it was extremely difficult and packed with learning
    lessons.

But it's also where he learned how to grow and scale a
business the right way. Today, Dustin helps Gym Owners to delegate their sales
and admin work to his team so they can free up their time.

His book "Reinforce Your Gym" is a collection of
his golden strategies to help Gym Owners to build a massively profitable
business. Although these lessons are written for Gym Owners, they can be easily
transfered over to other business sectors too.  He joined me this week to tell me more.
