  • Treating the Problem & Not the Symptom with: Dr Michael DeCubellis

It’s estimated by the American Chiropractic Association chiropractors treat more than 35 million Americans (adults and children) annually. Meanwhile Georgetown University says approximately 16 million adults — 8 percent of all adults — experience persistent or chronic back pain, and as a result are limited in certain everyday activities. Back pain is the sixth most costly condition in the United States. For Dr. Michael DeCubellis "'I’m a published author of two books, The Truth Behind Movement and Why Didn’t the Pain Go Away: The Science of How Injuries Become Permanent. My goal is to empower patients with knowledge that helps them make informed decisions about their treatment to return to living a full life. I am Hospital and Trauma Qualified. My innovative practice focuses on treating the problem not the symptom. Because of my experience, I can provide support and expertise to Injury Law professionals.

I began focus on chronic pain after having several patients come into my clinic with issues of pain that had been present for years and never went away. I wasn't able to make much progress with these patients either, and I wanted to figure out why this was happening and what could be done.

After extensive training and research, I was able to identify the underlying problem with the way of treating these patients, identify the underlying diagnosis and create a specialized treatment protocol to achieve results that were not possible before. Now those patients with injuries are able to heal properly the first time and recurrent and chronic problems actually improve!

This was made to better help patients get results quickly and not have these structural issues keep coming back. Now I work to not only help those achieve better results, but help people understand what is going on with their bodies, how the healing really happens, and why issues become chronic."  He joined me this week to tell me more.
