When Time Magazine placed the Motor city on their list of one of the 50 greatest places to be in 2022.
This year's list is the third annual compilation and highlights what visitors can expect of various hot spots internationally.
Fun and unique countries, regions, cities and towns were nominated by contributors from all over the map to help Time magazine compile a list full of fresh experiences.
"The story of Detroit's resilient people, along with a rich heritage of design, innovation, and diversity, ensured that it was part of this prestigious cohort," said Time in a news release.
"Nearly 10 years after Detroit filed for bankruptcy, travelers can now play a role in the city’s vibrant economic recovery by simply driving through. Detroit was recently selected as home of the USA’s first electric-vehicle charging road, solidifying its title once again as the Motor City—but for the modern age," TIME wrote.

At the height of the coronavirus Pandemic In may of 2020 more than two million Canadians lost their jobs according to CBC News. Causing many people to search for ways to pass the time, build a sense of community and do their best not to feel isolated. March 2020, during the great COVID-19 lockdown, television producer Craig Colby's work disappeared. He marked the time by wearing a different baseball hat every day, posting a picture with a story about each one on social media. A community of friends started sharing their hats and stories, too. After 125 days, Craig ran out of hats, but gained new insight into what each cap told him about his own life. In isolation, Craig experienced triumph and heartbreak, love, and loss. He was meeting his childhood sports heroes and floating weightless with an astronaut. The stories in ALL CAPS weave a tapestry of human connection, one hat at a time. He joined me this week to tell me more.

Prenuptial agreements are made by a couple before they marry concerning the ownership of their respective assets should the marriage fail.
These agreements are not just for the wealthy and powerful – 62% of divorce attorneys said they saw an increase in clients requesting a prenup, with a significant uptick in millennials signing them, according to a 2019 study by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Raymond Hekmat is a seasoned family law attorney who specializes in collaborative prenuptial agreements. “I believe that prenups are the foundation to a healthy marriage, and act as a conduit for having those important conversations about money that couples must have before getting married. I love working with couples in navigating these important conversations to set realistic expectations on how their marriage will work financially.”
He loves talking about prenups, relationships, divorce, and all things family law. He joined me this week to tell me more.

Does this describe you?
Resolute: firmly resolved or determined; set in purpose or opinion. characterized by firmness and determination, as the temper, spirit, actions, etc.
For Edward Sturm “Over a decade ago I struggled with crippling social anxiety and massive levels of insecurity. I have a condition that makes me severely underweight, and I’ve been combating it since childhood.
Now, however, I'm now one of the most social, positive, and healthy people I know - and I'm extremely grateful!
I’ve been meditating daily for 12 years, love exercise and eating healthy, reading, self actualization, my work, and life. I’ve been traveling for the last 4 years and have had several interesting businesses.
I made the first video game in crypto, ran the biggest blockchain meetup in the world, made viral videos getting hundreds of millions of views, had a short stint as an NYC nightlife promoter, was SEO to Fortune 50 companies, and have lived in around 30 countries.
I owe all my success to pushing my comfort zone with small chunking and baby stepping. Doing daily challenges with manageable goals to turn positive behaviors into positive habits.
Along with a few traveler friends, I’m cofounder of Commit Club, a platform for doing daily self-improvement challenges where you stake money on your ability to follow through with a challenge. Incomplete challenge stakes go to charities, successful challenge participants, brand partners, etc.
I've learned firsthand that people can accomplish anything this way and my mission is to incentivize people into taking on habits that make them happier, healthier, and more in love with the world around them.” He joined me this week to tell me more.

Emotional intelligence is the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Rob Jurd says:” I'm passionate about improving the mental health of our children as well as helping families and partners in their relationships, especially after having kids. I'm a certified Master NLP Practitioner utilizing many other modalities such as Timeline Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Inner Child.
My own journey of self discovery has highlighted how important it is for men to step up and work on themselves to improve not only the relationship with themselves but also all of those around them. I've found how much emotionally (and physically) closer I am with my partner because of the inner work.” He joined me this week, to tell me more.

When it comes to initiating a split, there's a clear pattern in who makes the final call. In Western heterosexual relationships, women catalyse an enormous proportion of divorces. In the US specifically, where no-fault divorce is legal in all 50 sates, some estimates put the figure at 70%, according to the BBC.
“I'm Donna McGoff retired teacher/counselor, inventor of board games, author, and life coach. It's my passion to help women to move out of the past and rebuild a new life full of joy and happiness, after divorce.
Many women are "stuck" and don't know where or how to begin to move forward and create a life they would love living. They are stuck somewhere, or they wouldn't have longing and discontent. (Some think holding everything together and going through a daily routine every day is success. That is not success but settling, and life is not meant to be lived that way.)
That was me. When nothing else worked, with my background, experience, and expertise, I created my own plan of action. It evolved into five steps taking me from a long period after divorce (stuck) to my personal transformation. It's called Recover, Reconnect, Reinvent--The Ultimate Results-Driven Process Rebuilding A New Life After Divorce.
One of the key components of this success of this process is making THE DECISION that you will take responsibility for where you are now, and you'll do what it takes to get to where you want to go. One has to be willing to change mindset, perspective, and attitude in order to get different results. You recover and heal from the inside out. That is the key. It all starts inside, and learning to think correctly is the secret.
There is no groveling around in the past. This is forward moving. It's not that the past isn't there or that one doesn't have it in their life but you learn to make enough space inside to create a new plan, take action, and make your new life happen.
It's is step by step process. You will find out where you are "stuck" then do the work (Ramping Up) to move through (The Road Through Recovery--that's the recovery cycle.) Next, there is Reconnecting With Self (who you are now--some of your roles and identity has changed.) Then, there's Reinventing Self (who you want to become for the future--strengths, passions, and values.) Finally, Relaunching Self (Where you want to go for the future.)
I blog for Divorce Magazine. I offer Coaching Programs and Online Courses.
I have a Master of Science in Human Development Counseling and Family Studies.” She joined me this week to tell me more.
