      • Guiding Executives to Rediscover & Reconnect to Their Inner Wisdom with: Thomas Rosenberg

Effective leadership starts with a clear vision and defined purpose of direction so you can lead with clarity and conviction. For Thomas Rosenberg “I have always been passionate about helping folks grow and transform. However, coming from a medical and scientific family, I felt the need to pursue a technical career path in order to be seen as a man.”

Over the course of my 25+ year career, I’ve worked in a variety of sectors and roles, often as a technical subject matter expert, with people and teams from different cultures in over 20 countries on 5 continents.

The underlying theme through it all has been helping people and their organizations become comfortable with change, to lead change, and to flourish. Although I didn’t always recognize it at the time, I instinctually found opportunities to insert myself into coaching situations.

My journey to this work, comes from decades of head-centered leadership that left me spinning my wheels professionally. After suffering a traumatic brain injury in a near-fatal bicycle accident in 2014, and inspired by the way a dear friend lived richly, shared all her gifts fully and died with tremendous grace in 2016, I was compelled to rediscover the forgotten wisdom of my heart and body.  This changed my life and my leadership.

I had a deep desire to lead life heart-first. I decided to move towards coaching full-time. I began my certification as an Integral Coach, which I received from New Ventures West.

As a Certified Integral Coach, my approach blends both Integral Coaching and somatic work drawn from my own journey as a coach and human. Integral Coaching is a developmental approach that takes into consideration the client’s entire being and their social context. In other words, I help to align your head, heart and body. When all three elements are aligned, we more easily fall into flow states and because we uncover our gifts and bring them more fully to the world, the most authentic and powerful version of ourselves arises. • Advocating For Healthcare Equity For the Vulnerable with: Jean Drummond

What does $400.00 and your mother’s credit card have in common?  For Jean Drummond it was the beginning of making an impactful and meaningful difference in the field of healthcare. Coming from a long line of “fem-trepreneurs” in her family—both her mother and grandmother owned their own businesses—Jean was surrounded by powerful role models that would later inspire her to begin her own healthcare policy business.

She graduated from Howard State University as a Physician’s Assistant where she witnessed the impact of health inequities daily. This became her driving motivator, and she soon found herself advocating for the vulnerable populations she served. This included running a PR campaign to prevent the closure of a minority-oriented healthcare program. She knew that she was being called to a higher purpose and wanted to advance her community in meaningful ways.

All of her experiences led her to establish Healthcare Dynamics International, a national quality improvement and population health firm that has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for its achievements as a prime contractor. From one employee with $400.00 and her mother’s credit card, HCD International has grown to a thriving business with over 200 employees from 20 different countries that speak 23 unique languages.

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Jean has remained fearlessly committed to quality healthcare and health equity for all, especially the most vulnerable. Supporting health partners and agencies, HCDI has helped to provide over 59,000 vaccinations to local communities, administered over 15,000 COVID-19 tests, and supported the contact tracing effort, leading to over 250,000 closed cases. She joined me this week to tell me more.

      • A Better Human Story with Dr. Andrew Schmookler

Its no secret the American political culture is broken and is in need of repair. Dr. Andrew Bard Schmookler is an award-winning author, summa cum laude graduate of Harvard University, former Democratic candidate for Congress, former talk radio host. Andy’s weekly op-ed pieces have appeared in newspapers around the country. Since 2004, Dr. Schmookler has focused his attention on the current crisis in America, which he sees as perhaps the most profound to face this nation in its history. Though this crisis manifests itself in the political sphere, he sees it as also involving a deterioration of the moral and spiritual dimensions, which have a big impact on the balance of power between constructive and destructive forces in a society. Dr. Schmookler’s current work, A Better Human Story, focuses on enabling humankind to better understand the forces at work that have driven the story of humankind on this planet. His insight into those forces shows we are capable of a much brighter future than most contemporary thinking imagines possible. He joined me this week to discuss how we can achieve a better human story. He also provided his perspective on the current state of American Politics today.

      • Helping Youth Make Better Life Decisions with: Eric Daddario

The federal graduation rate, however, remains the only measure to compare student-athletes with the general student body. Using this measure, student-athletes graduate at the same rate as the student body: 69%. Both college athletes and their peers in the student body increased by 1 point in the past year according to the NCAA. When you’re in the middle or end of your educational journey would you be confident, you’ll make smart and practical life decisions? Do you think you could use some assistance in this area? If so, Eric Daddario is here to help. He’s a youth motivational speaker.  “I help students and athletes make better decisions to live more fulfilling lives.” Through stories and examples, my presentations engage and resonate with students and student-athletes, as I show them how they can immediately change the course of their own lives and the lives of others.

My presentations are based on real-life experiences, including having witnessed a younger brother make poor decisions that ultimately led to him dying of a drug overdose and people turning their lives around through positive choices. The presentations  have a beneficial effect on the youth who experience them — showing them how the decisions they make every day can have long-term consequences on their lives. He joined me this week to tell me more.
