How many of you are familiar with the Silk Road Marketplace? And No, I am not referring to the ancient trade routes we learned about in world history class that connected Europe and Asia. I am talking about the online black market founded in February 2011. That’s right you heard me correct, just ten years ago. According to a special agent in the FBI the Silk Road was the Amazon of drug sites. Wow can you guys take a second to imagine that…Tune to hear all about it!

This episode was inspired by a recent conversation Alicia and I were having. One of the topics we discussed were the history teachings we received growing up and the daunting fact that our daughter very well may be subjected to the same nonsense. As you know history doesn’t update…even when new information is proven history remains history. Today I want to give you a little reminder of how America became colonized and the inhumane process behind it. But most importantly I want to expound on the obvious that was glossed over. I want to strip the whitewashing and identify it for what it was, I also want to touch on how conveniently people use God as a scapegoat for their foul actions and behavior. I grew tired of hearing my daughter be taught the same recycled surface level information in school about Black History Month: Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, & Barack Obama. So I took matters into my own hands and added some additional names to the curriculum. Claudette Colvin, Irene Morgan Kirkaldy, Jane Bolin, Bayard Rustin, Bass Reeves, Bessie Coleman, Lewis Latimer, and a few others. Our history is so RICH yet they hide so many of our Golden Figures.
