Can you believe it's been ten episodes??

This season we covered the "The's", and confronted some of the most difficult parts of our identities. Today, we are focusing on a "The" that is the most empowering of all. I am better. I am a winner. I am victorious. Things always get better and the sun will always come out after the rain. 

Whew....this episode was a doozy. I recorded this one at a very random moment when I just needed a release. I've realized that my perfectionism was tied to my ego, which I believe has been bruised and killed in this season of my life. I am not really who I thought I was, and I am learning that this is the best and most beautiful thing because who I defined myself as, has nothing on who I actually was and am currently becoming. I was comfortable with selling myself short. I thought I was doing what was best for me but I did not have the slightest clue. I am embracing my human-ness, and realizing that this does not make me less perfect, but rather more complete. I love me. 

"You're so strong..."

This is a statement that I feel has often been used against me, as people have always called me this, and have taken advantage of my strength. While I am grateful for the strength I have, sometimes I wish I did not always have to put on a strong face. Sometimes I wish people would just consider me and my emotions, instead of acting out and assuming that I'll be strong and get over it. It is so tiring. In this episode, Jaylen shares his journey of being strong and the profound meaning he found in strength as he reconnects with his birth father. 

For this episode, we sit down and talk with fashion guru and entrepreneur, Chamilla who opens up about her journey of settling. Her story was so encouraging to me and I hope it has the same impact on you all. She is now one who does not settle; in relationships, but neither in her career. She knows her worth and expects nothing but the best outcomes. Her perspective on things is so fresh, light, and calming; you just feel okay when you're around her. In this episode, she urges us to love and learn ourselves and in doing so, we will experience the true love and opportunities that we deserve. 

What comes to mind when you hear the word "User"? I've realized most recently, as human beings, that most of us use *something* to cope. Even those with a seemingly "perfect" life may find themselves using people, places, and things to fill a void within. In this episode, I open up about the times I've used others to validate myself, often leading me down an unhealthy path of feeling invalidated. These cycles of codependency have left me depleted and dazed. Hopefully, my reflection will cause you to be open about your history of using. 

In this episode, I open up about how I recently cut my hair. This transformation was so needed and felt somewhat spiritual. As soon as I cut it, I felt lighter, and even soon felt a little grief, but remembered that the cut was for me. I just feel like a new woman <3

I thank God for better days, days like these often felt so far from reach. 

The last 3 episodes have been a little dense, so I wanted to remind you to breathe. In breathing, and doing it mindfully and intentionally, you may find yourself processing your emotions a lot better, making better choices, and even fully tapping into your own strength. Just remember to breathe! 

In this episode, I revisit last week's topic, but in a different way. I realize that even as a "fixer", I am still broken and in need of fixing myself. I discuss why I have a way of being like this and why it is an issue, not only for myself but for the other parties involved. I will no longer be force-filling anyone. 

Hello! In this episode, I open up more about myself and my tendency to want to "fix" people. I have often been told that I "like projects", and I never quite saw it this way until recently. In this conversation, I delve into why I have the tendency to gravitate to people this way and ultimately, how that has affected me. Fixing people is crazyyyy...and I am realizing that some people don't want to be "fixed", and that is okay...just not okay for me.
